George Tiller: Murder or very very late-term abortion?

George Tiller may have performed late-term abortions but did he deserve to be murdered for that?

To those people who are Christians, God gave us free will and we have the right to do what we want with that free will. Some people use their free will to become serial killers and others just simply exercise control over their own body. Control over one's body ranges from tatoos, to piercings, to wild sex, to birth control, to abortion. God gave us free will which gives us the ability to make these choices for ourselves.

Nobody WANTS to have an abortion. It's every woman who is not trying to get pregnant's worst nightmare to pee on a stick and have that test be positive. Having a baby changes your life, it doesn't matter if you keep the baby or not. No woman has an abortion lightly and there is always a sting of regret.

But isn't it a bit hypocritical to be a murderer or even to believe in the death penalty and be pro-life? If all life is sacred, that means that even people who have sinned deserve to live. Those extremists like the person who murdered George Tiller, does he deserve to live now that he is a murderer? How do you determine which life means more and when life begins.

George Tiller was murdered for doing something that he believed in. Abortion is legal in the United States and will most likely remain legal for a long time.

So the difference is that Georges mother did not consent to the murder?

Abortion isn't murder. It's legal under U.S. law. Life does not start at conception, it isn't possible to feel pain until the brain is developed enough for those sensory receptors to pick up those signals. The thing is, that doesn't happen until late into a pregnancy so no pain happens to the fetus. It is not a baby until it is born. It's a fetus.

I disagree with that statement concerning the begining of life, none the less George was known for his many "Late term abortions."

Yes, I am not a fan of his late term abortions but i believe it's a woman's choice and if a doctor refuses to do it then the woman will find another way to take care of the pregnancy which endangers the life of both mom and fetus.

I agree, but this factor is easily detectable in United States medical facilities in the early stages, and is also much less common than the estimated 60,000 deaths of which he participated in.

Well, I believe the question I was asked to answer was, "Was George Tiller murdered?" Abortion is performed while the fetus is in the uterus so despite anybody's feelings on the abortions he performed, he was murdered.
