Some Amazon Kindle Reviews

By Kathryn McAbee

"I received my Kindle about a month ago. I have now read a full book on it for my book club and previewed multiple other books by reading the first chapters of the books. The books are very reasonably priced, especially compared to actual books, and the screen is easy to read - no computer scree glare. I especially love the fact that you can highlight portions of the book and make notes throughout - great if you're reading something for a book club or class. Overall, if you're a book lover, you'll love this. Easy to use, very portable, and great update to paper and ink books!"

"I talked myself out of buying a Kindle so many times since last November. After virtually living on the Amazon site through the month of July, I decided to take the plunge and order it. I'm so glad I did. My eyes used to get extremely tired after about an hour of reading a normal book--not so with the Kindle. I can't seem to put it down! (And when I did, my SO picked it up, so I bought a second one this week.) The size is perfect, and like other reviewers, I find myself lost in a book so easily that I, too, attempt to turn pages. The device vanishes as you read. If you are considering buying one, don't wait. You'll enjoy reading as you never have before."

"I went into the "Kindle World" with a little hesitation but was anxious to try out the new toy on the block. Much to my surprise I have been unbelievably happy with my decision to purchase this amazing product. Right out of the box it was ready to use, including having my name already programmed in the little bugger.

The owner's manual was easy to step through and I immediately went to the Kindle Store to purchase a book. This was the easiest, most efficient way to purchase eBooks' I have ever encountered. To my amazement my book was downloaded and ready for viewing after about one minute.

The screen is great and navigating around is even easier. I must admit, I still wish the Kindle had a little more grabbing room and a little less button real estate on the sides but it only took me about an evening of reading to catch on to the "proper" method of holding this marvel.

The main surprise I encountered was the way I seemed to move more swiftly through a book. I finished "Child 44" in about 3 days. I would get so involved in the book I would forget the time. The Kindle makes is so much easier to get past the page turning and go straight to the written word. I seem to pay less attention to chapters and spend more time focusing on the storyline. This is really hard to explain unless you own a Kindle.

I highly recommend this product. Will I buy version two; you better believe it! "
