Power wheel chairs are a necessity to people who are handicap and are not able to move around their home or outside on their own. Due to medical conditions they are not able to use their legs and often times using standard wheel chairs is too difficult for them to be able to keep their independence and enable them to do things on their own.

The difference between power and standard wheel chairs is the fact that they are operated using a battery. Power wheel chairs are also much more comfortable and better able to navigate around open spaces as well as tight curves and bends.

Each of these models are operated using a joystick that is placed on the arm of the chair for easy access. They are also built with footrests, headrests, and arm rests making it more comfortable for them to use.

Most times insurance or Medicare will be able to cover all or part of the price of the power wheel chair. But this depends on whether or not you have a medical condition that keeps you from using a standard wheel chair and whether or not your condition is more serious and will leave you bedridden for more then six months.
