*The step generally has two height adjustments. Increasing the height will intensify your workout, and it should not be raised until you are comfortable with the routines and the routines have become relatively easy to perform.
*Using wrist weights or light hand weights during the routines will also intensify the routine and accelerate arm and shoulder tone without the use of isolated weight repetitions.
*The continuous stepping up and down will strengthen and tone the lower body, legs, thighs and buttocks similar to using a step master.
*Step aerobics also strengthens the back and abdominal muscles.
Step Aerobic Workout:
While performing your step moves, keep your head up, shoulders back, abdominal muscles pulled in and your back straight. This is essential while stepping up and down from the platform.
Place your entire foot solidly on the platform when stepping up.
Begin your routine with a warm-up and finish with a cool down. These steps are extremely important in protecting your body from injury.
