Here is how to get free sewing patterns.

Oh, Fransson!

Oh, Fransson! is the website for Elizabeth Hartmann, who is a talented seamstress and pattern designer. The Margaret Bag is named for a bag she made for her sister's birthday and is available as a free sewing pattern at her website.

The Angry Chicken

Angry Chicken is offering a free sewing pattern for children's barrettes. The Angry Chicken states, "I am not really able to stay focused on any one big project right now (like the the quilt and blanket I have started and not finished for this baby) so, I jumped to something else and I tried my hand at some felt covered barrettes last week and these are quick and easy."

Simple Sewing Projects

Jennifer Thoden of SimpleSewingProjects.com has detailed instructions on how to make lined draperies. The easy to follow free pattern has 15 steps. Jennifer said, "I made a total of 8 panels... 2 per window. I averaged 2 Panels a night. So, you could easily dress up a window in a day."
