There is a song that my group plays titled "Get me to Jesus." A line of the song is, "If you can get me to Jesus I know I will never be the same. This is one of the truest statements ever made. Everyone who met Jesus was changed in some way or another. Those who desired to meet Jesus were changed from death to life. Those who didn't want to meet Him were even more vile than they were before because they refused to know Him.

We can see how changes can go in two different directions. We cannot really change ourselves. No matter what we do we are still the same. It takes a supernatural power to change us. This power can only come from God, for those who are changed for the better. For those who are changed for the worse, the power comes from beneath. The Bible declares Satan to be a liar and Jesus said the truth is not in Him. This article will be about those who wanted to meet Jesus and know Him and the methods they used to meet Him.

Mar 2:2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.

Mar 2:3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

Mar 2:4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

This man wanted to meet Jesus. He wanted to know Him. His desire was toward God and toward Jesus. His friends likewise had faith that Jesus would heal the man. I can see in my mind in this day that we live, what would happen if I and a few of my friends took someone to a house which was full trying tog et in to see someone. We are unable to get in through the front door so we climb up on the roof and start tearing the roof off. We would be shot most likely or at least charged with destruction of property and thrown in prison.

This young man and his friends had such a great desire to see Jesus, they were willing to risk going to prison to get to Him. They risked their very lives to get into where He was teaching. This is the desire that we must have in order to meet Jesus. if you are fed up with how things are and the way you feel, maybe you should try and get a desire to meet Jesus. Risk whatever it takes to meet Him. I assure you that if you actually meet Jesus, you will be changed.

Mat 9:18 While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy hand upon her, and she shall live.

The woman mentioned in these passages had an issue of blood that had been going on for 12 years. She had spent all of her money on doctors trying to get the problem fixed but to no avail and most likely was in worse shape than she was in the beginning. We can see this type of thing happening today. Go to a doctor to get something for a headache and before you know you are eat up with cancer also and your cholesterol is high along with your blood pressure. Heart blockages also from eating too much fatty foods. It never seems to end.

This woman knew in her heart that if she was to meet Jesus and just touch Him, she would be cured. Her issue of blood would be dried up within her. After she touched Him, and Jesus asked who touched Him, she told Him all the truth. We tend to hold certain things back from one another all the time. We never tell anyone all the truth, but we should always tell Jesus all of the truth. Let him make a change in us so that we will never be the same.

The daughter of a certain ruler had died and the ruler came to where Jesus was to ask Him to give life back to her. When He entered the house the people laughed at Him when he said that she was not dead but only asleep. A little sidetrack here for my readers. When good is present, evil is also present. Jesus didn't let those people laughing at Him stop Him from doing what needed done. We get our feelings hurt so many times in our lives it seems and we let those hurt feelings keep us from doing what God has called us to do. Jesus took the young girl by the hand and commanded her to arise. She arose and the change in her was from death to life.

Mat 9:27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.

Mat 9:28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.

Mat 9:29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.

The blind men followed Jesus into a house asking Him to have mercy upon them. They were blind completely and could not see at all. Darkness was their life. If you read my hub titled The Dream I wrote a little about darkness and how it actually feels. Darkness weighs upon a person. When these two men met Jesus a change took place. They went from darkness into light. No longer were they blind, but now they could see.

There are others whom I haven't mentioned here. (Mat 11:5 The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.)

Mat 9:34 But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.

The change that took place in the Pharisees was not a good change. These men spent a lot of time with Jesus also but they got more vile as time went on. They went from calling Him the Son of Joseph to calling Him the son of Satan. Only good works did Jesus do while He walked in His ministry, but yet they refused to see it. They wanted to hold onto the tradition that they were raised in. They wanted nothing to do with righteousness, even though they had met the man Jesus many times. Such is the way of things to day. Those who want to meet Jesus and do meet Him will be changed into a new creature full of righteousness and holy and acceptable before God. They are saved from the sins of the world and the destruction that is to come. There are many who meet Jesus but become more vile even today. They know who He is but refuse to allow Him into their hearts. They attack Christians constantly through verbal and sometimes physical assaults. We are to expect these things to happen to us. Jesus said if anyone smite your left cheek turn also the right cheek.

 In conclusion, Jesus has been discussed, spoken about, sung about, poems have been written about Him. He was beaten, hung on a cross and died there. He was buried and raised Himself from the dead on the third day. He ascended back to heaven on a cloud. We can tell people about Jesus until doomsday, but they will not recieve Him until He is revealed to them. God always reveals. Jesus asked Peter, "Who do people say that I am?" Peter said, "One of the prophets." Jesus then asked Peter, "Who do you think that I am?" Peter stated, "You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God."Jesus replied to Peter, "Blessed are you Simon Son of Jonah for flesh and blood did not reveal this unto you  but my father who is in heaven revealed this to you." It takes a personal revelation to meet Jesus. Each person will have Jesus revealed to them sat some point in their lives. Then a change will take place in them. Some will accept and believe while others reject and get more vile.
