The Mighty Claims of Antioxidant Juices

I am sure you have heard the hype of the wonders of the antioxidant juices that are on the market today. I remembered it started with the Noni juice, then Xango introduced the Mangosteen and MonaVie introduced the wonders of Acai and now I am hearing about powerful anti aging drinks that contains concentrated amounts of resveratrol. All the juices claim to be a great health supplement to compensate for our lack of fruit and vegetable intake as well as the lack of nutrients found in the soil which our food is grown. The health claims vary by juice but they all claim to be great antioxidants. Some help with intestinal health, others with joints and energy.

Many people are turned off by the taste of some of these concoctions and even more by the price. It could cost $100 or more a month to get the recommended serving of some of these juices. I tasted a few of the them and found them to be palatable but always questioned how they can keep bottled juice from oxidizing in the air. Being quite savy and well read in the area of nutrition - I know that antioxidants oxidize once they hit the air unless they are protected. For instance - the first glass of orange juice has more antioxidants than the 2nd or third and certainly more than the juice left at the bottom of the container after sitting in the refrigerator for a week or more. I was always told that you get the best nutrients from a freshly squeezed orange that you drink down right away. So how then can a month supply of juice that sits in the refrigerator be chock full of antioxidants? At the price of most of the superjuices out there - it was too expensive for me to find out. I asked the question of the Xango Distributor and the MonaVie Distributor that tried to hard sell me their product but no one had a great answer. I didn't think they would as "hard sell" MLMers never impressed me much with their knowledge. Despite my hesitation thousands of people swear by the health benefits and convenience of simply downing some juice a few times a day.

Most of the antioxidant juice makers have not been around that long. The longest survivor is Noni which has been established since 1996. But they were topped by Xango's Mangosteen in 2002 that claimed to be even more potent than Noni. Now MonaVie in 2005 comes along with the Acai berry. What next? Well - I recently heard an unveiling of a supergrape which has the resveratrol potency of 100 glasses of red wine in just 1 teaspoon. The results of studies about the benefits of resveratrol and this product is that it can actually repair DNA! This can turn back the clock and leave a person looking and feeling a lot younger. Now if it can do that it certainly tops all of the anti aging drinks. This company means serious business in that it has an established reputation of over 50 years. This certainly sounds like it is one up on MonaVie.

Before you invest in these expensive juices - do you really know what you are buying - and in some cases - what you are selling? What does the research REALLY say about the claims? What are the true health benefits and how do they all compare? Do they have authentic patents on their products? What are the ingredients - are they REALLY natural? Which is really the best antioxidant juice?

I found information that compares these fundamental questions and other features of three well known antioxidant juices as well as the new anti aging drink that includes the powerful benefits of resveratrol. I also added some of my own findings to help you make the wisest choice if you decide to drink up.

Great comparison. I want to make sure I am comparing apples to apples when it comes to supplements. There are other products out there that you could add. I would like to see how these compare.
