It’s difficult to deal with a breakup. However, what is much more difficult is to get your ex back. The most common mistake that people make is to just do whatever pops up on their head. That puts them in a reactive state; just reacting to whatever the conditions are.

As for you, be smart in getting your ex back. To get you started, just ask these 4 questions which help a lot of people get a grip of themselves.

1. Is there still any love left?

This is the first step. The big one. Do you still have any intense feeling for your ex. And by love and feelings, I mean more than just the need of a company or dependency.

2. Is it worth your time and effort getting my ex back?

Now you know that you really love your ex, you need to ask this second question. You need it to check whether or not your ex worth pursuing or not. Let’s be honest, it takes two to clap. The relation hasn’t work and will not work in the near future if you’re the only one trying.

For example, if your ex is abusive (physically and mentally), it won’t a good idea to get your ex back, isn’t it?

The first two questions will dictate how far you are willing to go in order to get your ex back. Be honest with yourself. If it gives really positive answers, then you know that you have very powerful reasons to get your ex back. It means that you should really to find the solutions and work on it.

3. What are the causes of the breakup? Why my ex left me?

At this point, you should find the problems that have occurred in your relationship and try to address them, one at a time. This is very important. If you don’t change what’s wrong, you cannot improve your chance of getting your ex back.

You need to ask why your ex left you. Is there any of their needs that are not being fulfilled? Find out what is the reason. Most of the time, it’s not what they told you.

4. Am I committed to do this?

Nothing comes without commitment. At this point you’ve known something that should be carried out. Are you willing to do it?

Get all the help that you can. Get all the information that you should have. However, more importantly, take action. The longer you wait, the harder it is to get your ex back.
