Get a Flat Stomach NOW!
60From the longest time, people all over the world wished they could have those tight abdominal muscles they see on t.v. Unfortunately, the "abs" are not the easiest muscles to develop, and also just building abs muscles doesnt cut it. Many other factors such as your diet, "cardio" exercises, and discipline are just a few other things that must be looked at.
The following are simple tips I have collected from different sources to help you get that flat stomach you long for.
1) Learn to eat your final meal hours before you go to sleep. Eating right before sleeping deprives your body the time to digest your food. (Digestion itself is a way of burning calories, so that is an incentive right there) Indigestion is usually caused in normal people by eating too much, eating too quickly, stress eating, or by eating certain foods such as pork, bread, beans, and even brocolli. If you are hungry before you are about to sleep, eat foods such as yogurts, oatmeal, mashed potatoes and soups. In simple words, you need to burn more fat and calories than what you intake. This may be a difficult process, much more difficult to certain people who dont have the metabolism required, but this is an important aspect of gaining those abs.
2) Having a balanced diet is also very important. Men and women who strive to get that rack of abs need to be disciplined enough to watch what they eat, and although that doesnt mean you cant eat what you want, sacrifices must be made in order to achieve your goal. Three meals a day is more than sufficient for a human being, and always keep in mind no one has to eat until they are completely full. One can eat until 2/3 of a stomach is full, and still benefit from the food that was eaten, particularly energy, protein, vitamins, etc. If one is hungry between those meals, small snacks that are very healthy are suggested, such as salad, fruits, and vegetables. Stay away from fatty dressings and dips, and learn to enjoy salads, fruits and vegetables for their original taste.
3) A hidden fact about abs has to do with your posture and how you view your abs in terms of your whole body. When your posture is bad, as in you slouch, your stomach will slouch also. Remember to keep a straight posture and your overall look will begin to look great. In terms of your abs compared to your body, you have to remember your abs are the core of your body, and so just exercising your abs alone will help, it wont help in the long run the way you want it to. Fitness has to be intelligent, take your time and and do slow quality exercises. Focus on systems that work out the whole body, such as Pilates, that although may focus on the core of your body, it brings in workouts to the whole body.
4) When aiming for those tight abs, one must also remember it is a slow thorough process and is in no ways an overnight success. Any of those videos that tell you you can achieve your abs in X amount of days is simply not telling you the truth. Plan your ab workouts in weeks in advance and follow them rigorously, and you will see the transformation before your eyes.
5) When your working on your abs, always remember to start with the weakest part of your abs, usually to most that would be the lower abdominal muscles. These exercises will be the most difficult for you, however the most beneficial for you at the time. Always remember to keep stability and coordination in mind at all times when completing these lower abdominal exercises. Also remember to exhale when you are contracting your abs muscles, so that you exhale as you rise during a crunch. FInally, remember to lift with your abs, not your legs, neck, or any other part of your body. Keep in mind this is to work your abs, so work them accordingly, and repetitions of 15 is efficient. If you cant do 15, do as many as you can, and if 15 is too easy, the exercise you are doing is not being done accurately or is too easy.
