Have you ever opened up your mailbox to find a cash rewards credit card offer sitting there just waiting for you to open it up and apply? Well, I know I have. Some of you may understand how these cards work and some may not.

In this particular hub, I am going to explain exactly how a cash rewards credit card works and how you, the potential cardholder can benefit from owning one.

First things first! We must discuss the basics before getting to far into this information. It is important that as a cash rewards credit cardholder that you fully capitalize on the rewards that are available. In order to do this the proper way, there are some things that you should keep in mind at all times.

The most important thing is to NEVER overspend; in other words, do not charge it if you can not afford it. The wisest thing for you to do is to treat your cash rewards credit card exactly how you would treat cash in your wallet. If this is something that you won't be able to do, then you should avoid applying for this type of card altogether.

Next, Always pay your credit card balance on time and in Full. It is as simple as this, if you don't pay in full, you will not be eligible to take advantage of any rewards. The reason for this that you will be committed to paying more money, because of the accumulated interest, at the end of the billing cycle. This will be more than the actual rewards that you qualify for, and as a result defeats the intended purpose of the cash rewards credit card.

Are you following me so far? Good, now that you have a general understanding of what you can and cannot do with a cash rewards credit card, I will now move forward and discuss exactly how this type of card works.

There are many companies that provide cash rewards credit cards that will allow points to accumulate for specific categories. For example, a credit card company may offer 4 points back on the grocery purchases, 3 points back on gasoline purchases, 2 points back on dining out, and 1 point back on everything else.

As you can see, certain categories, receive a higher amount of points. The reasoning behind this is simply that the issuer of the card will may be eligible to receive discounts or offers from certain different types of vendors.

The points that have accumulated from using your cash rewards credit card can be exchanged for general gift cards that can be used practically anywhere! Some people would prefer cash back for the points; if you find yourself shaking your head yes to that statement, then you can always try to exchange your credit card points on Ebay. Personally, I prefer to just receive gift cards; I can use them just like I use cash at most places.

Now you may be thinking to yourself that this sounds great, but how long will it take to build up the necessary amount of points that are required to receive any type of reward? Well, it really is quite simple to do!

All that you have to do is follow the guidelines that were previously mentioned in this hub and start doing your research to find a cash rewards credit card that suits your spending habits. Instead of spending cash on purchases such as gas for your vehicle, groceries, and going out to eat with friends and family, use your cash rewards credit card! This will allow you to take full advantage of your everyday spending by earning rewards!

in my opinion, its best to have an AMX charge card instead of a credit card. You have to pay the balance every month and you earn rewards.
