How to get traffic to your hubs

Write an interesting/informative/entertaining article

It might sound obvious, but you first want to worry about creating an article that is worth people's time reading. It will be easier to build traffic naturally overtime if you have an article that is worth reading. Don't waste people's time driving them to websites or hubs with no value.

Write a great headline

Writing a great headline that gets people to then click through to your article. Here are some great tips for writing headlines that work.

Use good keywords in your URL and titles

Keywords are what people type in to a search engine for people to find your website. You can get a idea of the search volume by using tools like Wordtracker.

Submit your hub to social bookmarking sites

Use a site like social poster to submit your site to 43 social bookmarking sites. You still have to register for each site, but once you have done that, social poster can save you a lot of time.

Participate in the forums and comment on other hubs

Participate and provide value in the forums and commenting on other hubs. Don't just spam your hub, but write relevant and informative posts and people will naturally click through to your profile/hubs.

Use a picture in your profile

People like to know who they are dealing with and providing a picture helps to personalize your sites.

Update your profile

Include information about your experience and qualifications to help add credibility to what you write.

Comment on blogs and forums outside of hubpages

If you belong to any other forums, include your hub URL in your signature. Likewise, when writing comments on a blog. Most comments on blogs are not indexed by Google, but some do. Here is a list that do. Provide value in what you will say and people will click through to your site.

Use keywords in your anchor text

When you create a link to your hub, include the keywords you want to rank for in search engines. This will help you to rank higher in Google and get more free search engine traffic to your site. For example, don't create a link like this Click here for more info. But use keywords in the anchor text like this Click here for more information on getting traffic to your website

I was looking at the D-List which has sites that have the nofollow turn off which is good for a backlink ithink, but if i do enter the url in the section before a comment, what will happen if some one does know my url and enters it in to google will all the comments/blogs be listed?
