SEO - Free Google Backlinks & Increased Traffic
84Why buy backlinks when you can get them for free
We all know that getting backlinks to our hubs is good! It increases traffic, which in turn increases our Adsense, Amazon & Ebay revenue. We will also rank higher on the search engines which again will increase our page views and bring in those much needed clicks and purchases!
Executing backlinking strategies can take up loads of time and effort and I know most of us simply don't have the time - I know I don't! But I've found a little site that's just starting out, that if it takes off, could be a rival to Twitter in the future. It seems on the surface like this site would be more relevant to Hubbing and could be used to enhance our Hub traffic and backlinks to our hubs.
(Personally, I just don't understand Twitter! Maybe that makes me a twat but who cares!)
I'm not writing this to sell you anything (though I would be insane not to include my referral tracker in the link I provide!) - My thinking is that my fellow Hubbers can get at the very least a few easy backlinks and at best a high volume of new traffic to your Hubs as well as new HubPage referrals.
An Image of Internet Traffic
A chance to increase your Hubs pagerank?
The site is called TipDrop and was created by Jon Leger - an SEO expert whose main income has come from his linkbuilding software. He must be doing something right because in the first 30 hours that the site was online it received more than 200,000 page views!
So what's TipDrop all about?
"TipDrop is a place where people come to give and receive tips on just about anything. When you see a tip sheet you know something about, simply answer the question: "What do you know about that?" Unlike other microblogging platforms, TipDrop creates focused sets of useful information on specific concepts."
It asks you to add to others Tip Sheets, or create your own Tip Sheets on any topic you like, and write a tip of up to 255 words. NB* You get Adsense earnings on the Tip Sheets you create.
Revenue sharing, one way back links and extra traffic
Where are you on the internet traffic map?!

- TipDrop.com - What do you know about that?
Have a look and see what you think. It might be the next best thing - it might not be, but it's worth checking out!
The benefts of this site that I can see are that:
- you can add up to 10 one way links on your profile (make sure your HubPages referral tracker is in every link!)
- you can post links in the comment boxes (though obviously you will be penalised for SPAM)
- you can post links in your tips (again, no spamming!)
- it's a revenue sharing site so you also get 75% of the adsense revenue from your Tip Sheets (just like here at HubPages).
- refer others and get 25% of their adsense revenue (it uses a tracking system like HubPages does)
- it's a new site so getting in at the beginning will enable you to get a good reputation early on
- getting in right at the start could also bring in lots of income through referrals
- you can pull out bits of your hubs and re-edit to create Tip Sheets quickly and easily.
Your opinion? Updates
Please feel free to leave comments below and let me know what you think about TipDrop!
I've just started with it so I'm not sure how it's going to work. I'll update you if I find any obvious flaws or benefits - maybe you could do the same?

Another backlinking strategy
If you want to put in a bit of time (but not too much!) getting backlinks to your Hubs this may be just the solution you're looking for. I've been using RoboForm for about 7 years - it's FREE - and it enables you to fill out web forms in just one click - very useful if you are thinking about submitting your URL's to web directories.
Do you have something to write about?
Do you enjoy writing and think you might like a few extra pounds/dollars a month? Sign Up to HubPages today! You could end up being one of those brilliant Hubbers that make a full time living on here - raking in $500 + a week. Even average hubbers can earn $100 a month so it's well worth a try!

Cool, first I've heard of the site. Like dohn said, thanks fot he tip. But you should leave your own referral link here too.
Very good information; I'll be checking this out.
Thanks for the info, sounds like a great strategy.
I like this... I'm surely going to try it... You have helped me a lot in my first week of Hubbing...
Great Hub, Susana S. I am not a Twitter-er, but I sing acapella. (Only kidding) Thanks for the useful information on how to "work the system".

It's easy for businesses to get caught up in Google's expectations for their sites, when trying to market through search. Thanks for the "tip" Susana. I don't understand Twitter too, although I've joined, all I do there is post hubs and that's about the extent of it. I will definitely look into "TipDrop" in the near future.
