Pictures

Getting pictures for you product, website, articles, books, poems, etc., is not always as easy as it seems. For years people just saw a photo on the internet in the free domains, and assumed that it was alright to use it. Not today! Getting a picture off the internet, even in the public domain, can net you some problems in the long run.

I know of one person that got a picture in the public domain, that said it was a free photo, and could readily be distributed. They almost lost their writing account, because of the incident; even the the picture was in the public domain.

My advice, is that, it is always best to get the full rights, with any photo that you purchase. Now, i know that most places will sell you a photo, then turn around and sell the same photo to some one else. In my opinion, that is wrong. I mean, i know that it is considered a copy, when the oringinal is sold, and that is fine .. with paintings! But, when it comes to using a photo, then one original should be sold, and no more than that. By selling only one original the the purchaser is guaranteed fresh, original content for their books, web sites, articles, poems, newsletters, etc.

Land which is a web site that was originally for selling real estate, does have original photos. Only one photo is sold of each one, and ... you would not believe the price of the pictures that are for sale, from .50 up to around 5.00. That is right, for an original. If you don't see what you are looking for, simply ask! http://land.vstore.ca
