I expect a package at least once a month.  I love getting "presents" from the postman, or the UPS guy... especially, thhe UPS guy.  I grown man in shorts always makes me giddy with anticipation.  The most recent purchase was an audio tape of the soundtrack to my favorite cult classic, Staying Alive.  Did I mention I love Frank Stallone. 

There is a sort of guilt involved that is intoxicating.  My husband always gives me this look, like what else have you gotten?  It reminds me of my first purchase.  I was 17 and I ordered luggage from a mail order catalogue with a credit card number, that I had memorized, of my dad's.  He was none too happy about it, but it was beautiful luggage.  It showed up at my parents house, much to their dismay and much to my excitement. 

People love getting mail.  That is a known fact.  The idea of getting a little, or huge, box with merchandise inside is titilating.  I hate the word, "titilating", but there is no other way to describe it.  I have ordered make-up, zit cream, and was very close to closing the deal on a George Foreman grill when reality kicked in, and I remembered that I don't, and can't, cook anything.  This was years ago.  Recently, my prediliction has been software.  Oh, and I got my daughter a mini DVD player.  That was a great purchase.  She can watch Sesame Street in her bassinette.

My point is that even though the ecomony is bad.  We can always spend 6 or 7 dollars to make ourselves feel special.  Some people love spa treatments.... I love spa treatments, and maybe, I could afford one if I could stop buying things online!
