Getting the Grounds for a Second Date
65
If you had a great first date, then what's going to stop you from having a great second date? Here's how to get the good grounds for a second date:
- Start Well. Ask her/him out in the best manner. Don't wait who's going to ask who. Ask her/him out the very next day. It could be a simple message saying that, ‘I had a great time yesterday, and I'm looking forward to the next time...' You can text message her then tell it directly on the phone. Hearing your voice would give her/him the right impression that you are sincerely looking forward towards your next dates.
- Bring a small token. A small gift instantly shows your gratitude for allowing a second date. It could be a scented candle, perfumed oil, or flowers. Just remember to not be too grand. It could mean desperation on your part.
- Make sure that you get the plans going before you ask. Look at the things that you both enjoy or are interested in, and move around this circle. Invite her/him to do something you both find exciting. Set up that second date so she doesn't have time to think about the first date and so she has something fun to look forward to. For example, you both enjoy pizza, alcohol or sports - tell her you know the best spot in town and then take her/him there. You sure are going to love it, and it's sure to set the fun in your date.
- Agree on the date. If your date says that she/he can't make it on Saturday, then let her/him pick the date. Don't push things that's all I'm saying. If you both agree on the date then there's no problem to start with, and both of you could look forward to your meeting as things are all good.
- During your second date, talk about having the next ones. Plan it together. Set up the next dates as ‘activity dates' where in you do not center the date on eating out. ‘Activity dates' mean walking your dogs together, going to the park, or the beach, a day of cooking lessons or crafting, or the likes. The more creative, the better. These dates are meant to be interesting activities that will also give you the chance of know more about each other. Talking over dinner all the time could get boring, can't it?
- You can also set up a double date with your buddy. This could go more in depth into your relationship as you get to show to your partner your real self when you are with your friends. Lastly,
- Don't be a perfectionist. Just enjoy the date no matter what happens.
