Your bra makes a significant difference in your appearance. You can look flatter than you are, bigger than you are, shaped differently than you are, and more. However, most importantly, the bra you wear should fit you right. Seven of ten women wear the wrong size bra. Because this is such a rampant problem, it is obvious that many people just do not know how to find the right bra size, the following is a guide to help you pick the right bra size:

First, look at how to measure for bra size:

To measure for bra size, you want to start by putting on the bra you think fits you the best. This is the one you feel the best about, the one that gives you the right shape and feel, and is comfortable to wear. Then you need to get a tape measurer. You also need to get someone to help you. Obviously it should be someone you do not feel too awkward around in your underwear.

Now take some measurements:

The first measurement to take is around your ribcage, just below your breasts. This is going to help you find out the band size, you want to add 5 to this number. Bra bands only come in even numbers, so you want to round up, not down if the number turns out to be an odd number. This is the number before the cup size when bra sizes are determined. For example, you say, "I wear a 32 B" means your rib cage under your breasts is 26 or 27 inches.

The second measurement should be taken around the fullest part of your bosom when wearing a bra. This is going to be the measurement that helps you figure out the cup size you should be wearing so that you are not in too big or too small of a cup. You are going to subtract the band size from the number you get when you measure your bosom. The number you get will determine what cup size is right for you. The following chart is how you can figure it out.

Bra Size Chart

1" larger than measurement 1--------------------A
2" larger than measurement 1--------------------B
3" larger than measurement 1--------------------C
4" larger than measurement 1--------------------D
5" larger than measurement 1--------------------E
6" larger than measurement 1--------------------F
7" larger than measurement 1--------------------G
8" larger than measurement 1--------------------H
9" larger than measurement 1---------------------I
10" larger than measurement 1-------------------J

Just like any other item you buy, there is a good chance that even after you figure out your correct bra size, you will still try on bras in that size and they will not fit you correctly. Every brand fits a little differently. So, once you figure out your bra, get out to the stores and try bras on. When you find a brand and a style that fit you and that you love, then stock up on it. If the bra that works best for you is too expensive to stock up on, look for deals online. Sometimes you can find your size online for cheaper in the same style and brand.

If you wear a large or small size that is difficult to find, use online searches as this might be your only option. Do not settle for a bra that is too large or too small, instead, find one that fits right, you won't regret it, and it can usually be done by looking online for a few minutes. You can even special order a bra if you need to.

Less than 1 inch difference = AA. I'm a size 30A or 32AA, whichever I can manage to find that isn't a training bra, as I am an adult (just a very small one!).
