What to get a four year old girl?

My daughter just turned four and I wanted to get her a present, but I wasn't sure what to get her.

Types of gift ideas I considered

  • Something we could do together like a puzzle, book, sporting equipment
  • Something she needs like warm shoes
  • Something sentimental like a chain or bracelet

So I want with Snoopy Junior Golf Clubs. She's never played golf, but I thought it would be fun to teach her and it gives us an activity to do together. When she opened it, she was slightly confused and a bit disappointed, but after her first trip to the driving range, she loves them.

Here are a few other gift ideas that are perfect for birthdays, Christmas, or just being nice:)

Caterpillar Butterfly Set

The Caterpillar Butterfly set is an educational toy that my daughter seems to be really into. This is a net-like cage where kids can watch a caterpillar transform to a butterfly. My daughter is very excited to get the caterpillars so she can play with the butterflies.

Doll and Stoller

For my daughter she is into being a mom. She was thrilled with a doll that came with a stroller. She talked and talked about her baby and pushed it around until she went to bed and started again as soon as she woke up. Then she started planning her day so that my wife could push her baby sister and she could push her baby down to the local coffee shop to get hot chocolate.

A Kids Doctor Kit and Scrubs

My four year old loves her doctors kit and scrubs. The kit comes with all sorts of plastic instruments. Her favorite is the little hammer to test reflexes:) She also loves to dress up in her kids scrubs and play doctor.

pauledmondson, children your daughter's age can develop deep interests. I know of a little girl who when she was four had a keen interest in hurricanes and tornadoes. What are your daughter's special interests? Does she like dress-up and make-believe? Then, she'll love costumes, too!

I think I'm going to buy the butterfly kit for my youngest sister. She's also four and her other interests include KC and the Sunshine Band and (of course) Star Trek.

I think the golf clubs were a great idea. My Dad tried to includes us four girls in his life, but I always wondered why he never took us golfing.

Sunday we had quite a few little girls at the archery range. They were all trying out bows and arrows put together with branches and strings.

Hi Paul

My son is six, i know this is slightly off topic, but he was helping me do the cleaning the other day and he came out with this little SHOW STOPPER....

" Dad can you get me some Cillit Bang"!!!!

It stopped me in my hoovering tracks! The power of advertising eh?!! I wonder if Barry Scott considered this age group in his "targeted Audience"!!!!

I got him some, the next day :-)

Fun topic, It is always a challenge shopping for our or anyone's children, frequently because kids nowadays seem to have a surplus of everything. But two things kids can not get enough of in my book, are sports items and items that encourage creative play. My daughter who is three loves to go to the range with her dad, and enjoys hitting balls and competing with her 5 year old brother. And all kids love to play dress up.

my daughter will be four in a couple of weeks and I found Pop-Beads for an idea. She loves jewelry and this will let her create many, many ideas and designs all on her own. Found them at Target for around $16.00 - good luck!
