I. Gin Sling / Tom Collins:

1 ½ jig gin

1/3 barspoon of dry vermouth

1 cocktail onion

Procedure: Pour all the ingredients into a Collins glass (tall glass that contains around 12 ounces) containing ice and then fill it with soda water. Stir thoroughly. Garnish with a slice of orange and cherry. Serve with straw.

II. Gin Rickey:

1 ½ jig gin

½ jig lemon juice

1 bottle soda water

1 slice orange

1 pc cherry

Procedure: Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake well and strain into a pre-chilled whisky sour glass. Garnish with a slice of orange and red cherry.

III. Gin Sour:

1 jig gin

½ jig lemon juice

½ jig simple syrup

1 slice orange

1 pc cherry

Procedure: Pour ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake well and strain into a pre-chilled whisky sour glass. Garnish with a slice of orange and red cherry.

IV. Gin Fizz:

1 jig Gin

½ jig lemon juice

½ jig simple syrup

1 bottle soda water

1 slice orange

1 pc cherry

Procedure: Pour the first three ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a highball glass. Fill it up with chilled soda water. Stir. Garnish with slice orange and cherry.

V. Gimlet:

1 jig Gin

½ jig lime juice

1 pc sliced lemon

Procedure: Pour ingredients into a cocktails shaker with ice. Shake well and strain into a pre-chilled champagne glass. Float a slice of lime.

VI. Pink Gin:

1 jig. Gin

1 Augustura bitters

1 lemon twist

Procedure: Pour gin into an old fashioned glass with ice. Add the bitters. Stir well and serve with a lemon twist.

Not being much of a drinker, how does gin differ from vodka or similar liquors?
