In my previous article, I wrote about my never-ending search for the perfect handbag and discussed my new found taste for animal print bags. Yes, it seems my search is indeed never-ending. To make my decision more difficult, I came upon several exquisite giraffe print handbags by many designers. I like the print so much, I decided to check them out further. In fact, I found so many different styles of giraffe print purses that I just had to share them with you. Available in the traditional giraffe print , these purses sport either matching or contrasting trim. They all look so yummy...*drool*....

HOW BIG A TREND IS GIRAFFE PRINT ?

I am seeing more and more giraffe print handbags, made of various materials. It appears to be a trend that will be around for a long time. As with any animal print handbag, a giraffe print purse will offer a ton of style to an otherwise typical "office" suit.

FOR THE BUDGET MINDED...

I found many giraffe print purses and handbags that are geared for the budget-minded fashionista. These bags are, for the most part, made of a synthetic material that closely resembles leather. The styles available are so abundant, trendy, and stylish. And, as an added plus, will last for quite a few seasons despite the inexpensive price tag.

Inexpensive giraffe print purses range in price from $30.00 to $75.00. Although not constructed of genuine leather, they will withstand the normal abuse instilled upon them and still look good. Giraffe print handbags within this price range will still turn heads.

Embellishments, such as push lock closures, belted trim, large rings attaching the straps, ensure giraffe bags will remain stylish...I just love the look of these bags.

I have found that many giraffe print purses within the budget-minded range are inspired by the higher end designers. I was pleasantly surprised to notice the similarities - in style, feel and size. Unless you are keen to the specifics of expensive bags, you may never even notice the difference.

HIGH-END GIRAFFE BAGS:

Dooney and Bourke makes many styles of giraffe print handbags. I can honestly say I love their bags...the styles are on trend, the color variations are stunning, and the details are terrific.

Many of the embellishments of Dooney giraffe bags are functional as well as aesthetic. From draw string closures to simple zippered front pockets, the embellishments on Dooney giraffe print purses are definately top-notch.

The body of many Dooney giraffe bags are constructed of durable fabric - the tough, virtually ever-lasting fabric Dooney is known for. Often, the handles are made of the infamous Dooney leather. Although I normally prefer leather to fabric bags, I know the fabric will "worK" as tough as leather.

Sondra Roberts also makes several high-end giraffe print purses. Now these two bags are really cute! The brown / orange of the print is a neutral color tone, which will go well with virtually any outfit. Plus, the new black colored print is a great bag to use during the winter months. How great is that?

On the tote bag I love the strap and ring detail as well as the cream-colored leather wraps on the handles - not too over the top, but enough design detail to add visual interest. Take note of the wide open interior. Typical of the tote style bag. I think the size is perfect, too: 12" high, 17" long, 5" wide. The giraffe print is pretty realistic looking, I think. Hmmm...I'm really considering purchasing this purse.

The classy satchel bag is what I call a trendy bag. Throw in the giraffe print, and your handbag will talk for you! Again with the strap / ring and cream-colored leather wraps, the detail is subtly noticable. Plus, there are pockets on the ends of the bag for aded convenience - and they have a closure. Pretty rare, if you ask me. I really like the interior of this purse, with the center zip pocket - a very popular detail. The perfect place to keep my wallet. This particular giraffe print purse measures 10" high by 16.5" long by 7" wide. Another great size to carry all my stuff (which keeps increasing).

The exterior of both of these bags is made of beautifully woven raffia, trimmed in leather. This material screams summer. The interior is lined in nylon.

The creamy-brown colored lengths of raffia comes from the leaves of a specific palm tree, (Raphia farinifera), that originally grew only on the island of Madagascar. Yeilding the largest leaves of any palm tree, it is a logical source for fiber. The fibrous leaves are cut off and torn apart in parallel lines to yield very long strips of raffia, which is woven into items such as handbags.
