Give a bear hug to a child in need
66Bears Without Borders
Do you feel like doing something good with $15 today? Buy a teddy bear for an AIDS orphan in Africa.
There are countless children who are orphaned when their parents die from AIDS all over the world, but the disease is rampant in Africa, where safety isn't always practiced. As a result, children may be left alone or may have AIDS themselves.
I'm sure you have had a teddy bear at some point in your life to hug. Some of you may have a stash of bears that you don't even look at anymore, they're so popular as gifts. I got a teddy bear from my boyfriend, who came back from a trip and brought it for me as a present. Their little faces always make feel better, but for some reason, this little guy really touched me and made me cry, wishing that everyone could experience the joy of receiving a teddy bear.
Call me sentimental (and I really can be), but this is something that has a simple solution. All you have to do is go to the Hunger Site and pay $15 so a child in a hospital or an orphanage in Africa and experience the simple joy we have known since children.
Bears Without Borders is an organization founded by a couple who wanted to share this joy after marrying. The $15 isn't taxed, and is in fact tax-deductible, as are all of the gifts you can purchase on the Hunger Site. It goes to building a bear in the United States, which is sent to a South African child in need.
You can do this for yourself or dedicate your gift in the name of another, for a birthday, for instance. I bought a couple for my dad's birthday, and he received two certificates for the occasion.
It's so simple. I've done it before, as well as buying food for a Rwandan family for a month for only $60. It's ridiculous the power our money can have in other places when we complain about what it won't get us here. While $15 won't get us four gallons of gas, it can give a child the feelings of love and support they need more than we can know.

Yes, cooperating is great. We would usually work more WITH them in high school and college than FOR them... but I certainly don't know enough about business and money to help them learn how to earn it. That's great that you do that!
It is so nice to see you have great compassion for the Aids ophanage in Africa.
