Introduction

I wrote this poem one day when I was upset about something. I don't know what I was upset about (obviousely it didnt matter) but Sometimes when I get upset instead of allowing myself to sulk over whatever it is I just write. Write poetry, write a hub.. anything I just write.. In some of my latest comments on some of my hubs I decided to revisit my myspace page blogs to see if anything there could make a useful hub and so I found this poem there.. I thought it was good enough to delete from my myspace blog and put here.. so enjoy (or don't) *Smiles*

Bring it on. The "Get over it" and this too shall Pass poem

I wake up in the morning eyelids drawn

Not ready for the day to come and take me on

My mind is still between the dreams and the dam,

I contemplate the opening of the light

I think of all the things I did in spite

Before I even open my eyes I've started a fight

With myself.

Damage control begins and I start to assume

Take note of how I'm thinking grab the dust pan and a broom

I have 17 seconds to change this dialogue then

Allow my day to have a chance and fully, strongly, confidently..

Begin.

Success has made my mind more pure and ready to fight

To tear through the challenges of my day and thoughts that aren't right

I don't have to fight the daemons of my daily turmoil,

I just have to start my day off with a seeded thought in good soil

Because it's not the fights that don't stop coming they will

Still..

Its the foundation of your mind that will allow you to live with free will

Challenges are just obstacles, success in work clothes

Pick your battles and you've already won

Your day is of your choos(ing).

SO

Life bring it on, give it your best shot

You wont shake my foundation

Give it all you got

Bring on all the problems, all the pain and unfairness

But be sure you can handle me, I'm in no way careless

I may seem to be the person who wants to give up..

But make no mistake

I know what's up.

The harder you hit me

The harder I fight

I'll always try to do the thing that is right

You got me here this morning, and every morning so what

but you only own my mind for a minute

well 17 seconds in fact

cause a positive thought will dissolve the negative

Cause I got it like that.

Blah.
