The Palm Centro is the next version of the Palm handhelds that will be in the market soon, an official press photo of the handheld device was released today. This new Smartphone is aimed at youth market.

Last week rumors surfaced about the new Palm Centro Smartphone model and few blurry pictures were released, but today it was confirmed by Palm with an official photo of a much better looking model.

Palm Centro will be targeted mainly at the Youth market, but I am sure adults also might be interested in this Smartphone. It will run on EVDO network for web browsing, sending SMS and e-mails. It has a fully QWERTY keyboard built like the Palm Treo Smartphones. It will have iPhone like touch screen feature besides the keyboard input. Like iPhone the Palm Centro will exclusivily deal with Sprint for 90 days, after that period, all other carriers will issue this Palm Centro phone.

It will be the smallest Treo phone in the market. Centro is a much better replacement for the low end phones that are available now but it is not a good answer for iPhone, if this is all Palm has to offer then it will show that Palm has surrendered when they were the only leader in the Smartphone market for a long time.

No availability on specifications about Palm Centro or when they will be available in the market. If you don't have a Smartphone, you should buy this Centro, and you will be able to browse the web, watch YouTube, and do hundreds of things.
