Glasgows car bomb
You hear of terrorist attacks from all over the world, and you hope and pray that it will never happen near you, today at 3;15pm a car exploded into the main terminal doors of Glasgow airport, two men were arrested at the scene ,one of whom was wearing a suicide belt which was removed from his person, in hospital.
Because of this attack Britain is on critical alert, the highest security alert in this country.
I live approximately 30 miles from Glasgow airport, on one side of me is a nuclear power station, on another is an explosives factory and on another there is Prestwick airport, a terrorist's wet dream, and I do fear terrorism, but I will not allow them to dictate how I live my life. I fear for my children and pray that they will have a future, but i will not bow down to these people, our forefathers fought for our freedom, an by god I will fight to keep it. my life will go on as normal but i will have a raised alertness to everything around me.

This is such a sad and pathetic situation, wherever it occurs. We take nothing for granted here in Canada (at least I don't) as there have been recent indications from Bin Laden's ilk that Canada is also a target for similar activity.
Indeed, we cannot bow to these sick individuals who think nothing of harming the innocent for the sake of their cause. How cowardly and sick. And we wonder why our world is turning into a police state. When 9-1-1 happened it was a great shock, although thousands of miles from where we live it is certainly a reality check. Although the warning signs are out there for what may lie ahead, we can only pray that intervention can somehow avert the devastation of that horrible day, or worse, wherever the next target may be.
We are saddened once again by this incident in Glasgow. Be strong, best wishes.

We just have to go on living with our eyes open and looking over our shoulders.
Jimmy, great Hub and dispite the dangers, I agree with you that we can't let terrorists dictate our lives. Be alert and take precautions, yes. But crawl into a hole and hide in fear - NO.
When Bella saw the reporting on the news yesterday morning she came in to where I was working on the computer and asked if you lived in Glasgow and I told her that you were in Scotland but I didn't know where in Scotland. I didn't realize you were that close to the site of the attack. Glad to hear you and your family are safe and will keep all of you in my prayers. Bella sends her regards and is relieved to hear you and your family are safe.

Let's hope our world comes to it's senses finally.
One would think as much as the BBC and the rest of the British media coddles the Palestinians that the murderous Palestinian assheads would at least have the courtesy not to attack their own personal apologists' civilians. Too bad Palestinians don't do gratitude, common sense or really anything besides a strong cultural desire to kill others (including each other). Ask that BBC reporter, Alan Johnston, whom they are holding.
I notice the British press keeps not mentioning that suspect's background. It's all over the American press though.
Why don't you funnel increased amounts of money to Hamas under the guise of alleviating poverty so they can use it for more explosives in Europe to bomb some more of their misguided supporters? If you guys give them enough money, maybe they won't try to kill too many of you. That does seem to be the only semi-passable logic behind financing these people - dread of what happens if you don't kiss their asses.
They're bombing you anyway. Maybe it's time to quit paying them not to, since that seems to be ineffective.
thankyou guys, for your concern, although only the terrorists were injured in the attack on Glasgow airport, I think it was the wake up call Scotland needed, The people of Scotland will be more prepared for this type of attack in the future, these attacks are happening all over the world anywhere could be a target and everyone needs to be vigilant.......jimmy

Dear Jimmy, your concerne is truly understandble, and these kinds of insecurities are felt everywhere even here in Australia, however the western society will have to learn that no permanency can be established by force. Every Nation in the world should learn to mind their own business, and not being so interested what others do or do not do. We would live in a much more peaceful world.
By the way I read all your articles, but I cannot always comment on it because of my limited understanding of the subject at hand. Harry
