Geothermic Heating--whats this? Have a look at Wikipedia for explanation. Suffice to say its a system of heating your house for next to nothing (after the cost of installation) this is well publisised isn't it? did you know what it is? In the UK cursory research shows that there are a handful of suppliers. Don't know what its like in States or elsewhere. But did you know you can get a grant from UK government (for UK residents only) to install this?

Wind Power. Well we all know its noisy,poorly designed, will only work if wind blows, so needs costly backup. Yet a quick glance on You Tube shows several designs of windmills.You can even build your own.

The UK is an island surrounded by water yet wave power/installation is just about starting. Obviously no use for landlocked states

Again research being carried out but little is getting to the consumer inUK--though to be fair B&Q have started to stock a limited range.Heres an easy way to heat your pool.

The overall picture that seems to be evolving is that once production of power i.e. gas/electricity goes down to a local level i.e. you make your own, the big boys don't like it--but it could be that local production is part of an answer to Global Warming. Or is it?
