"Global Warming", They Shout

It may come as a surprise to many that the warmest year in recent recorded history was not 2008. It was the year 1998. Shocked? You shouldn't be, it's a fact. And, global temperatures have been consistantly lower in every year since!

There must be a conspiracry afoot. But, why? Well, whenever there is a vast amount of bull manure piling up, I just begin to follow the money. And, simply observe who is making the loudest noise. Then, try to discern who is making the "mean green" off of the situation.

This whole mess is being promoted by and large by Al Gore. It is noted that he had a net worth of about $2 million back in 2000. Now, it's well over $100 million. And, he could make a great deal more from new "green" technologies.

There are two camps that battle each other over the global warming issue. On the one side you have educated men and women arguing that it's a real threat to the Earth and its inhabitants. They are absolutely certain that man-kind is the cause of the problem. Then, you have educated men and women who argue intelligently that there is no threat. And, man-kind is in no way responsible for global warming.

A quote by President Dwight Eisenhower in a speech in 1961: "The prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present and is gravely to be regarded.

Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific technological elite."  -- Dwight Eisenhower speech

Now, let's get back to the reason for all of this nonsense.  There are a number of individuals that stand to make a whole bunch of money.  Maybe you've heard the term "carbon foot print".  One of the ideas being tossed around is that businesses will have to pay a tax based on their carbon foot print.  Who do you think will pay the taxes?  Oh sure, each business will pay the tax.  Then it will be made a part of their cost to do business.  That means they will include it in the price they charge for their product.  Consequently, the consumer will wind up paying the tax.  And, that translates to a higher cost of living for the average person and family.

It's a sad fact that some very powerful people are consistantly coming up with ways to make life harder for the average individual.  Even a tyrant who keeps his people under his thumb will now and then have mercy on his subjects.  He may grant a tax break or some other type of relief for the people.  But, a man who believes that his actions are for the "good" of the people will continue without mercy and provide no relief.

Nowadays people are starting to be more aware of dark deeds

that are being carryed out by a few people. Maybe thru our awareness we can take more control from them; not letting certain people run the show while lining their pockets.
