Global warming was never a problem during the time of the Exxon Valdez disaster, they only noticed that during the time when weird storms started manifesting on several places where no storm ever set foot, when extreme weather conditions started appearing like El Nino here in the Philippines.

Why are they doing this? To remind the world that they did their damnest to try to prevent the Exxon Valdez Disaster.

It is a welcome step after all ;)
