Go Beyond The Capacity Of The Mind
53The average persons mind can only focus on one project at a time. What if you could cope with 22 projects and 150 tasks . How much success will this bring you. It all starts with power thinking. First you have to envision the end product or completed project. Then you have to determine the steps needed to complete the project. Then you move to the next project. Determine the steps needed to complete that project. Then move on to the next project and the one after that . Remember to focus on one project at a time. You are building an integration puzzle piece to the success puzzle. The key to snapping the pieces together is to use a integration system. This system is the tool to help you reach the completed project( ultimate goal). Each task no matter if it is 50 or 150 is integrated into time. Let me explain. If your job or project consists of contacting customers, making phone calls, writing letters, holding meetings, running errons, and etc you know it's hard to get all of this completed in a days time. This is where you break down all of your projects and integrate them into time. The work week is 5 days(Mon thru Frid) You seperate a certain number of tasks into each day integrated into an 8-5 work schedule. Now lets look at how to integrate the task into time.
A typical managers work day consists of holding meetings, tour his area of responsibilty, making phone calls, delegating tasks, writing reports, and etc. He or she would essentialy walk in hold a meeting, then make a phone call, assist a customer, tour an area, delegate tasks, make another phone call, maybe write a letter, and hold an interview before getting off. This senerio is the equivilent of (bare with me) building a car one at a time. This is the way that they used to build them before Henry Ford invented the assembly line. Basically you take ten people and they stuble on top of each other trying to install a door, add a tire, install a hood, and etc. This would take all day and only one car would be finished.
Now lets look at this senerio. A manager utilizes powerthinking over the weekend. He writes down all of his tasks that need to be completed the following week. Now keep in mind he has planned ahead many weeks into the future for upcoming projects. He goes into work and utilizes his integration system. He lays out all of his tasks by movements. All of his phone calls together, all of his interviews to be conducted together, all of the reports he has to write, and what is left is misc tasks. He eliminates all of his movements. Like an assembly line he completes tasks and moves on to the next group and completes those tasks just like Henry Ford complete car after car . He is not stumbling over himself only to complete a limited amount of tasks in a day. He lays out his schedule and sees the complete picture. He gains control over his job. With this control and increase in productivity he can explode his revenue.
Your situation may be a little different, but this systems works with any job, any idea, any vision. If you are in a situation that you feel you cannot get out of or stuck in a job that is a dead end then utilize this technique. Find what makes you happy. Envision your future. Let that vision of happiness drive you to that goal. No matter what it is powerthink your steps to get you there. We have heard about those people who are driven this is where the drive comes from.
