From a free blog to a web site, what are the odds of success? That is a good question. Personally, I would recommend having a blog for updating purposes. Think of it as a public relations type of ordeal for an online business. This is what I am doing with mine and you should consider it as well. It might be best to get a blog hosted on a domain but it might be worth it depending on your budget and what you can do.

For business purposes, it would not be a good idea to go with a free web site because you only get very little space. Trust me, those do not go on the record for that but only for personal use. I only recommend using them as a source to gain knowledge. That is what I used it for and believe me it was a positive move before I decided to go into making a web site for business purposes.

I knew I needed to get a domain but the hard part was finding what could I afford that would suit my needs the most. I wasn't looking for a giant amount of web space but just something that could work out perfectly and I went and registered it and currently operate a small web site building service that I build upon request.

Eventually, I got a blog and yes it is free but it is what can work for the time. I may eventually move it into my own domain but for now I want to see how it does for my Public Relations. A free blog might not be so bad as long as it suits your needs the most.

I think the odds are never on your side but you can make it work. It just will take some time and patience. I know that because I still am learning overtime and probably will be able to get it down to a science. I hope this can give an answer on that to a degree plus a little bit about what I did from personal experience.
