God’s Unfailing Love

The thought of my pain,

my homelessness, is bitter poison.

I think of it constantly,

and my spirit is depressed.

Yet hope returns

when I remember this one thing:

The LORD ‘s unfailing love

and mercy still continue,

Fresh as the morning,

as sure as the sunrise.

The Lord is all I have,

and so in him I put my hope

O God, you are my God,

and I long for you.

My whole being desires you;

like a dry, worn-out,

and waterless land,

my soul is thirsty for you.

Let me see you in the sanctuary;

let me see how might

and glorious you are.

Your constant love

is better than life itself,

and so I will praise you.

I will raise my hands

to you in prayers.

My soul will feast

and be satisfied,

and I will sing glad songs

of praise to you.

LORD, your constant love reaches the heavens;

your faithfulness extends to the skies.

Your righteousness is towering like the mountains;

your justice is like the depths of the sea.

Men and animals are in your care.

How precious, O God, is your constant love!

We find protection under shadow of your wings.

We feast on the abundant food you provide;

you let us drink from river of your goodness.

You are the source of all life,

and because of your light we see the light.
