Goldwell North American has been helping people take care of their hair for about 70 years now. The company got going in 1948 and hasn't looked back since. Today, they're recognized internationally by the beauty and style industries for having a full line of wonderful products for heads everywhere! This extensive line of products includes styling, coloring and texturing items. They're mostly known for their "Hair Care" sub-line of products and that's what this article will be focusing on. Health and beauty websites can be pretty cluttered if you ask me... All the lines and sub-lines kind of blend into a mesh of unreadable text. Goldwell's Hair Care line for example has 5 separate product groups. Each product group then contains a few items that are meant to be used as a system. There will typically be a shampoo, a conditioner and some kind of a treatment item. The "systems" vary from product group to product group and that will be covered below...

So without further ado... Here's an overview of the Goldwell's Hair Care line, arranged by product group...

Goldwell ColorGlow - Used To Protect Colored Hair

The ColorGlow line by Goldwell is probably their most popular. It's designed, as the name implies, for color treated hair. If you dye your hair frequently, you're probably fairly familiar with these types of products. There is a quite a few items available under the ColorGlow heading. There is a shampoo, a conditioner and a number of treatment type products. All of these are specifically engineered to deal with damage and dryness due to coloring of the hair.

Goldwell Inner Effect - Used To Add Volume To Thin Hair

The Inner Effect line of products made by this reputable company are all about going BIG. They help to turn a thin, unhealthy head of hair into something with volume, strength and structure. On top of this, the shampoo also helps with common dry scalp problems and dandruff. Much like the ColorGlow line discussed above, the Inner Effect products are sold as a system - Look to use shampoos, conditioners and treatments for maximum effect.

As a bit of side note, it's worth shopping around if you're going to purchase any high-end hair product. Kits or systems, in particular, can be had for cheap if you look in the right place. Check out the mall but don't forget to look online as well. Check out a few sites before you make a purchase though...

Goldwell KeraSilk - Made Specifically For Dry And Damaged Hair

A lot of suffer from dry hair these days... For a list of reasons why as well as certain things you can do to cure this, check out my other hub about dry hair care treatments. Anyway, like a lot of other companies, Goldwell has a specific product designed to deal with dry, damaged hair. One unique ingredient they use, though, is silk. Silk is know in the textile industry as a very strong material. It's also very shiny. The KeraSilk line takes these traits and put them in a shampoo bottle! If your hair is coarse, rough and weak, it could probably use the power of silk to strengthen it up and make it shine.

Duel Senses - Can't Quite Figure It Out

I'll be honest... I don't really see what Goldwell is trying to accomplish with this line... Maybe I'll leave it up to you! Outdoor And Sun - Used To Protect Your Head From The Sun

The elements can have some pretty devastating effect on our hair. The sun, in particular, with it's harmful UV rays has a real knack for drying out hair and causing some nasty damage. Goldwell has developed a product that helps with this. The Outdoor And Sun line of items that they carry provide protection before, during and after outside activities. It's unique blend of Grape seed extract also helps if you're a swimmer. Chlorine from the pool and salts from the ocean damage hair. It helps to have a product that can counter these chemicals. Unlike most of product groups found in Goldwell's Hair Care line, Outdoor And Sun is only available as a treatment. There is no shampoo or conditioner at this time.

As I mentioned off the top, Goldwell does a lot more than just take care of your hair. They have a bunch of products for sale.
