Most moving machines use tires to roll especially on roads and other surfaces other than rail or in water. Tires have been used on most machines and golf carts are not exceptional in this aspect. Golf cart tires are not any different from the ordinary tires we use in our motor vehicles except for their size. The golf cars have much smaller rims and thus accommodate a much smaller tire size.

Just like your regular automobile tire, the golf cart tire is quite similar and most tire manufacturers produce them as long as they have the measurements. Tire manufacturers like Pirelli, GTR, good rich and many other players have tires that will fit into golf carts. It is important to note that golf carts have different models and brands and their respective manufacturers have considered the use of readily available tire sizes to make replacement of worn out ones an easy task. Tires also come in different designs and quality and their prices equally variable. The material composition of the tire dictates its performance and the price.

Good rubber tires will automatically cost more as compared to synthetic fiber or plastic tires. Although rubber tires may cost much more, their traction on the surface is equally good and since this is a very important attribute, it would be very wise to pay more for a better tire than to save some money in return for poor performance. For good traction on either grass or snow, it is very vital to get best quality tires for your golf cart. However depending on the topography and location of the golf course, you may not necessarily need brand new tires. If the golf course in question is  in the tropics and there is never any snow and the surface bellow is tough enough giving the golf cart easy grip , then even used golf cart tires from zones with need for brand new tires.

As the auto industry has evolved and the introduction o alloy rims have been witnessed, the golf carts have not been left behind. New models have been designed with new models of rims to match fashion trends. In the same spirit, golf carts are keeping to the pace and the limits are left to the imagination and creativity of the designers. Tubeless tire technology has not been restricted to the conventional cars. Judging by the use of golf carts, brand new tubeless tires can last for years on a new golf cart simply because they are subject to very light weight and their journeys limited to well tended golf courses. In these environments, it is least likely that the tires may be exposed to punctures and other hazards that ordinary motor vehicle tires are exposed to on regular basis.

Choosing golf cart tires is an exercise that should not be very complex especially if you need professional service from your cart. The most sensible thing to do is to go to the supplier and ask for appropriate advice. Te other option would be to call a professional tire dealer nearest to you and ask for advice. They will most likely want to know your tires thus the radius and width of the tire in order to give you the best advice. If the dealer is reachable then it is advisable to take the golf cart to the dealer and let them handle the entire exercise from fitting to aligning and even balancing. This should give your cart a longer life away from the tire dealer.
