Don't Bother With Golf Swing Teaching Aids

Yes, you heard me right. Why? Well I'll tell you...they simply don't work! They don't help improve your game and they make what should be simple, complicated. If you want to find out how to stop wasting your time with these gadgets then read on, if not, you just carry on sticking your head in the sand and hoping your swing will correct itself, see where that gets you.

Why I think Golf Swing Teaching Aids Are A Waste Of Time

You may be shocked by my statement or you maybe understanding, whatever state of mind you're in you need to understand why I think these teaching aids don't work. I mean...how many of those little gadgets do you need to fix your swing? Come on! The whole idea behind teaching aids is to simplify your swing, so why all the gizmo's? It's not making it easier for yourself or your wallet. You shouldn't have to buy every single teaching aid that comes out, in fact, the ones that you do have may as well be thrown out. They're probably not the best thing to have cluttering up the house, and your wife probably thinks so too, am I right?

Golf swing teaching aids are way too complicated, and you don't need some gadget telling you that you’re doing something wrong do you? I mean...let's take the hinged golf club for instance. If you have a fault in your swing the hinge flinches and the shaft bends outwards. Now this is all well and good at telling you that there's something wrong with your swing, but does it actually tell what you need to do to fix the error in your swing? No, I don't think so.

So why the need to prove to yourself that you’re doing something wrong? What you need is something that can determine what you're doing wrong and then show you how you can fix it.

The Only Teaching Aid That Will Improve Your Swing

I'm really sorry about babbling on here but it's important to know what works and what doesn't isn't it? Anyways, there is still hope for you yet. I'm talking about a complete swing program that not only corrects your swing but also improves on a correct swing too. It's called the Simple Golf Swing and it's the best selling online golf program ever! I used it a while back when I was struggling with my game. It was literally my bible for a number of weeks, but it was worth all the effort as I haven't hit a duffed shot ever since.

I'm not trying to hype this book up at all, it does that all on its own. The price is but a round of golf, which is sure to keep both your wife and your wallet happy. Seriously though, if you're a golfer who's serious about improving on his/her swing then I recommend you check this program out. Make sure you throw all of those useless golf swing teaching aids away (if you have them) as the Simple Golf Swing program is all you need to correct that swing.

  • Golf Swing Teaching Aids Are A Load Of Bull!

Wow! I feel better after saying that. Seriously though, golf swing teaching aids will not help you improve on your game, it just won't. If you want to know why I think this then read on through this . . . - 13 months ago

This is a good resource for those who learn golf without a trainer or less assistance by a trainer.

Nothing beats good old fashioned work/information on developing the correct technique without the gadgets. You can't use the gadgets in competition, so why use them for training.

I always thought that those teaching aids looked a little silly. I know of some places where the pro won't allow them. I think James has the right idea.

Like everything else in life we tend to make things difficult. This guide gets back to basics and teaches the correct way with out the use of a crutch- gadget. It always pays to get back to basic's

Thanks for the info. My golf swing is all over the board. Part of the problem is I am trying to swing like everyone else. Maybe it would help in keeping things more simple and make the game more enjoyable, while at the same time lowering my score.

I tried a couple of the swing aids, and you're right, it confused my swing more than it did help me find a nice simple swing.

Thanks for sharing this with us. I am looking forward to improving my swing...and trainers don' really seem to "really" know what they're talking about.

I reckon the best golf swing training aid you can get is the help of a professional golf teacher! It doesn't really mater which swing aid you use, they are only there to help you feel a particular movement etc. Whereas a professional can tell you exactly what causes the problem so you can fix that rather than fix the symptoms.

Good article
