Home buying in perfect market

It's a hard question for anyone to answer. Even the experrts are stumped by the housing market. when to buy? Will I pay too much? Will the neighborhood I buy in have too many forclosures?

The market has a way down to go yet, perhaps into 2009 by the looks of the financial meltdown. It looks like another scam on the American people. But there is another way to see it. Soon is an excellent time to think about buying a new or used home. There are some excellent bargains around, depending on your community.

Those who have been transferred to another city by their company are usually willing to negotiate on all kinds of things, especially price. Financing may be creative providing the bank is cooperative to your assuming the loan. Buyers will give concessions on old carpet and appliances and take back second mortgages at a reasonable rate.

Now is the time to get your financing in place for when you find something just right in a good neighborhood, and at a goof price. It may also be a good time to check out who you want to work with as your broker. Brokers get paid to know the daily housing market, financing, and neighborhoods, whether good or bad.

I'm in exactly the same position. I have my antenna out and my broker is keeping her eyes open for me. I'm arranging financing. I wish you well and happiness in the home you find.

Wonderful. I have a feeling the market has a way to go down as well... we're waiting, although the appeal of free cars with the purchase of a home is hard to refuse! I forgot which company is offering such a deal...

Glassvisage, don't forget to figure in the cost of insuring a brand new car to your total financial picture!
