Google Logos

First, I would like to start off by saying Happy 11th Birthday Google! We all have heard it, the famous sayings "Google it" if you want to know something about anything. For 11 years, Google has provided not only an amazing search bar preference, but also Google Earth, Google AdSense, Google Chrome and many other Google interactions. Let's face it, Google is a word everyone knows!
Google does some pretty cool stuff. One of these is a thing called Google Logos. Google Logos is basically when Google changes the Google logo on the front home page for a holiday or special event. We have all seen them, whether it's a present with Santa for Christmas or a meteor shower. It is so cool to visit Google each day and see what logo they have created this time. Most of the logos are invented by Google people, but they have used some logos sent in by Google users. Since 1998, Google has enlightened users by these great logos. Not only does it provide a fun learning experience for the Google user, but it also makes the site look more users friendly.
Since 1998, there has been over 200 Google Logos. Some fun, some serious!
The most logos have been created and seen this year, 2009. So far, there have been 32 Google Logos. The logos for 2009, according to Google Logo site, have been H.G. Well's Birthday, Google Crop Circles, First Day of School in Turkey, A Mystery Google logo, Malaysia Independence Day, Michael Jackson's birthday, 400th Anniversary of Galileo Telescope, Perseid Meteor Shower, 40th Anniversary of Comic-Con, Solar Eclipse in India and China, Apollo 11 Lunar Landing, and many more Google Logos this year so far.
Other fun Google Logos that have been voted best include Halloween Wishes in 2002, Google's 5th Anniversary in 2003, Earth Day in 2004, St. Patrick's Day in 2005 and New Years Wishes in 2006.
My personal favorites of the Google Logos include the Holiday Wishes logos in 2002. My top favorite number 1 is the Google American Independence Day in 2002. It shows the Google icon with the American flag background in the word Google. I also enjoy the Google Logo for Google's 11th birthday, also the current logo. It is Google's name but spelled "Googlle" for the 11th birthday.
Google also does a program called "Doodle 4 Google" where Google invites kids pre-k through 12th grade to reinvent Google's logo on the homepage. The national 2009 winner is from San Antonio Texas, with his Google Doodle portraying the Earth and how great our Earth is. He encourages people to help the world prosper.
While on the Google home page, you can click the Google logo to learn more about that logo. For example, Google's 11th birthday, the current logo, allows someone to click on the logo and learn more about the subject.
So as you can see, Google Logos have been a part of Google since they were founded in 1998. Google will continue to provide its users with a variety of fun and interesting logos. Thanks Google!

Better Business Bureau has received more than 1,500 complaints about several dozen Web sites that are trading on the Google name to scam people who want to learn about making money from home. As we’re all collectively counting down the remaining days before 2010, Google’s Dennis Hwang is busy tweaking the Google logo to mark the occasion, a job the talented designer has been enjoying since 2000. Unlike the vast majority of companies who never tinker with their visual identity, Google is well-known for playing with its brand logo [...]

What a great hub topic, I wish I had thought of it. I love the Google logos too. My daughter actually participated in a Google logo submission the school had. She said they had some awesome ones, but evidently none of them were chosen, or maybe they haven't even been voted on yet, I don't really know.
