Google To Cut Adsense Payments!

A new validation method by Google could reduce earnings for websites, publishers and blogs. A publisher or website or blog earns money when a visitor click on the Google adsense ads placed in it.

Google now wants to make sure that the conversions from referral ads are valid. It means that they want to ensure the people who click on the ads are actual customers.

Eva Woo of AdSense product marketing says in an announcement dated October 12, 2007 in Google's AdSense blog, "The earnings you receive for the ad may now be less than the maximum referral value displayed for that ad. This is because our system will initially place a restriction on referral earnings as we monitor click and conversion data to determine that the conversions generated are valid. Once this validation period ends, you'll begin earning the maximum value of the conversions as displayed in your account". I think that means publishers which display the referral ads may not make as much money as they should.

Google does not say how long the validation period will last, but says it would vary from publisher to publisher.

I wonder how this is going to effect Hubbers and other small time publishers as well. Perhaps its time to take a look at some Adsense Alternatives?!

I think many will switch to other methods but I understand Google's point also they just want to make sure the real buyers click those ads.

I don't know about others, but I may consider a different revenue model if rates continue.

Yes, Google adsense is really no revenue generation system nowadays. It is better to switch to CPA offers from other networks to monetize your website traffic. I had recently switched from Adsence to millinicmedia. I have to check how it works.
