Google search bar: How to install Google Toolbar

There are two version of the Google Toolbar available for installation. Which one you install, depends on which internet client you use. The first, and most popular, is for Mozilla Firefox, the internet client, with the orange logo in the top corner. The second, is for Microsoft Internet Explorer, the blue "E" logo.

Before installing make sure your system possesses the requirements, necessary for a successful installation. I've listed the requirements, also dependant on your internet client, below.

Firefox:

Windows XP/2000 SP3+, Mac OS X 10.2+, or Linux

Firefox 1.5+

Internet Explorer:

Windows Vista/2000/XP

Internet Explorer 6.0+

Once you've made sure you meet the necessary requirements, click "Download Google Tool Bar", at the page for your internet client, which I linked to earlier on. For this example, I will use the Firefox installation.

When you click the button to download, Google will send you to a "Privacy Policy Agreement", which you must accept, in order to continue. If you agree, click the "Agree, and Install" button below the policy's text.

A popup from Firefox will come up, listing the installation. Click the option to install now. The automatic installation will begin. After it installs, it will notify you that it is completed. You must now restart Firefox, to see the Google Tool Bar appear.
