GrandCentral is a unique service that is available online to manage all your telephone numbers in one place. Once you become a member of GrandCentral, it assigns you a personal phone number, which you can use it for life. GrandCentral calls it One Number...for LifeTM - a number that's not tied to a phone or a location - but tied to you. So, you can give this number to anyone and don't worry about getting Spam Calls, which you can easily block it at GrandCentral. Google purchased GrandCentral today, so you will see more features added to it free or for a small service fee. But for now it is free.
So, if you have a mobile phone, office phone, home phone, instead of getting the messages lost or which number you should focus more, you can just give one phone number to everyone. With that phone number, the callers can leave a message for you to return the call. GrandCentral either calls your main phone number (Stored in GrandCentral account) and connects you to the person or notifies you via e-mail about the call you received, so you can answer by screening the calls. This message is recorded and is available online in your GrandCentral Account online. You can either save it or delete it. There is a "call" button after the message, so when you want to talk the person, GrandCentral connects you (wherever you are) to the person that left a message.
Here are the main features of GrandCentral:
- Check your messages by phone, email, or online
- Keep all your messages online for eternity
- Record and store your phone calls (just like voicemail)
- Quickly (and secretly) block an annoying caller
- Click-to-dial from your address book
- Surprise your callers with a custom voicemail greeting
- Forward, download, and add notes to your messages
This free version will include unlimited inbound minutes, unlimited voicemail (up to 30 days old), and access to all of the main features of GrandCentral. You can use this personal number on your business card and can keep in touch with all of your friends, family, customers, and co workers without a problem. And don't have to worry about changing the phone number, even if you change mobile services or you move out of your current location.
Currently it is available only in the US; it will soon be available for other countries. This is what GrandCentral says about the International phone number option: As we expand internationally, we will give you the option to pick an international GrandCentral number or forward calls to international numbers.
So, if you need an invitation to get an account with Google GrandCentral, send me a message with your first name and last name and e-mail address. I have 8 invites available.

Annalene, it is very useful, this way we can give the personal phone number to anyone and not worry about giving out our home numbers to strangers. If we don't like it we can block calls at GrandCentral. Hopefully they will have worldwide soon, so you can also use it :)
If you have any more Grand Central invites, I'd sure appreciate one. It sounds great, and another quality Google service. Thanks much.
Hi Jim, please leave your e-mail address, I will send the invite, I have a few left. Thanks.
