Ben Counter is an ancient history graduate and a painter of miniatures. He is a full time writer specializing in licensed science fiction and fantasy, and somehow he also finds time to hold the position of secretary of the Comics Creator Guild.

He has worked extensively for the Black Library, Games Workshop's publishing division, in addition to Chaosium Games, Green Ronin Games, and Rebellion (publishers of 2000 AD).
