Grand Theft Auto IV Facts Cheats and Easter Eggs

With baited breath we await the release of Grand Theft Auto 4, it promises to be bigger and better than ever before and it is expected that over 6 million copies will be sold in the first week alone.

Gamers will queue for hours on the 29^th of April 2008 hoping to get their hands on a copy of the 18-certificate game.

Players take the role of a violent criminal, who steals cars, deals in drugs and gets involved in a lot of shootouts with the police and other gangs.

It is the game almost everyone is talking about.

Politicians again will join together in condemning the violence and preaching about morals and family values, which is a great free source of advertising because it makes people buy the game to see what all of the fuss is about.

The game developed by Edinburgh based Rockstar North Games is expected to fly off the shelves.

It has taken a team of 150 people three and a half years to develop GTA 4

The game is expected to make £210 Million in the first week, Compared to the biggest movie of 2008 Horton Hears a Who which made £22 million in its first week.

In GTA 4 your character can visit bars, clubs and even attend a comedy night starring Ricky Gervaise.

The game has been quoted in several murder cases. In 2003 damages of $130 Million were sought in a lawsuit that claimed it inspired 2 teenagers to shoot passers-by. None of the lawsuits have ever been successful.

Hillary Clinton the presidential hopeful has blasted the game saying that "It teaches children that it is ok to diss people".

It is an ultra realistic game, your character can romance the ladies, watch TV and he can even get drunk which causes the picture on the TV to go blurry.

A movie of the game is the current hot topic in Hollywood, Rapper Eminem tipped for the ultra violent lead role.

Game makers recreated a city based on New York, in minute detail, using over 650 actors to populate it.

During research for the game graphics People in New York apartments were paid to setup time-lapse cameras so that the team could get the sunrise and sunsets perfect for the game.

Cheat: Adjust Your Wanted Level

To get rid of Niko's wanted level, insert the following number into your cell phone: (267)-555-0100. To add stars to Niko's wanted level, insert this number instead: (267)-555-0150. Keep in mind that this will disable your ability to acquire some achievements.

Cheat: All Secret Locations

Head to the internet café (or wherever you can access the internet) and insert the URL www.whattheydonotwantyoutoknow.com. If inserted properly, you'll be brought to an in-game message board containing maps of secret locations in the game. Check it out!

To refill Niko's health and to give him some fresh armor, insert the following number into your cell phone: (362)-555-0100. If you want to give him health, fresh armor and refill all ammunition, insert this number instead: (482)-555-0100. Keep in mind that this will disable your ability to acquire some achievements.

Any time you're outside, break out your cell phone and insert the following phone numbers to unlock the vehicles listed.

Easter Egg: Prank Calls

Here's something funny to try. During your adventure through Liberty City, you may find phone numbers written in inconspicuous places, such as on the side of a building or in the subway. If you dial these numbers, you'll usually get someone on the other end who you can subsequently prank.

Easter Egg: Statue of Happiness

Head to the Statue of Happiness on Happiness Island via helicopter. Have the helicopter drop you off on the very top of the statue. You'll find a sign up there that states "No Hidden Content Beyond This Point", but it's a lie. If you head inside of the statue from this area, you'll find an actual beating heart inside the statue. How ridiculously creepy!

Easter Egg: Fire Truck Madness

If you boost a fire truck, press the fire button while driving around. This will allow you to shoot the super-powerful water cannon at anyone around you. Watching people react to getting shot with high-speed water is hilarious.
