Grand Theft Auto 4 Walkthrough
GTA 4 is pretty much structured the same as the other games in the series. The game is a third-person shooter game, as well as, a driving game, which opens up the gameplay.
The storyline is important to the overall feel of the game, allowing for you to explore and choose how you want to play the game. It is also important in unlocking certain aspects of the maps. You don't always have to follow the storyline; when you don't, you're allowed to just roam the area just try not to cause and attrach chaos and havoc as you may bring fatal attention to yourself from the authorities.
There are four or five missions open up at once, and you get to make the choice as to which mission you will go on. In some missions, you're even given the choice to decide who you want to kill.
Throughout the game, you'll use your cell phone to make personal conversations, take photos, get side jobs for quick cash, and call up cheats.
When playing GTA IV, there are a few mini-games that you can play, there are non-interactive shows that you can attend.
You can go to the internet cafe and communicate with family in your homeland, buy ringtones for your cell, build a myspace, and even look for dates. These elements may seem like an interesting means of breaking up grameplay, but they really are significant to the storyline.
Although the basic gameplay and storyline is the typical GTA storyline, Rockstar really did add a few special additives to set the game a part from the rest. I mean the graphics, sounds, and attention to detail are superb. But, in general, instead of making a 50 hour game, they have created a game that can take hundreds of hours, as it allows you to pick missions. Once you've beaten the game, go back and try it again, choosing different missions.

Easter Eggs and Secrets
Easter Eggs
The Heart of Liberty City
As soon as you're able to access Happiness Island legally, find the Helicoptor Tours and steal a helicopter so that you can fly to there. Once you're there, jump out of the helicopter at the statue's feet, where you should land on the topmost tier of the statute. Run around the platform until you see a door with a plaque on either side; it will read, "No hidden content here." The door won't open, but you can walk through the door. Once inside, there will be an empty room with a tall ladder, climb it, look up once at the top, and you'll find a beating heart held by a chain.
Two bits!
Get any car and go to a large traffic jam. Use the horn to do the "Shave and a haircut" and stop. One of the other cars should do the "two bits." Listen carefully because it might be done by a pedestrian instead.
Secrets
Easy money
Go to an ATM and cause a traffic jam to the area, making sure to block nearby roads so that the ambulance cannot get to the murder you're about to cause. When someone goes to take money from the ATM, kill him, and take the money that was dropped. If you run a little bit away and then go back. The money should have respawned. You can repeat the process as many times as you want, and you can kill more people to increase the amount of money that respawns.
Statue of Liberty Shirt
Go to the Statue of Liberty and walk up to the second level. Walk through the door, let the game load for a second. You'll walk out with a new shirt with the Statue of Liberty on it.
Repairing the engine
If the vehicle you're driving breaks down and the engine won't start, call any number from your phone book, and the engine should start again.
