Granddaughters Quilt Is Finally Finished
53Finished Quilt
Learning Tool Made With Love
Finally finished the quilt I have been working on for months for my youngest daughters youngest daughter...catchy isn't it! Between being sick and having a back that hurts constantly doesn't help with crafting or sewing projects.
I started by showing each stage that I was doing with the front with the painting of the alphabet and numbers one through ten. The back wasn't as fancy as time slipped away, just getting it finished was my objective. The quilt still won't get to her right away as they are redoing windows and their livingroom because of a leak. One less thing to keep track of and keep clean.
She won't be two until a couple months after the baby is born, so that may be a good time to send it to keep her mind off mommy and new siblin.
Now my daughter is going to have another child in 2010 so being creative will have to start over again at some point.

Thank you Carlaine it was a long time in the making. Kelly gave me some of the fabric during my last visit to Maine before my second surgery in November 2008 :O)
Beautiful quilt and it's large enough so that she can use it for years and years! I hope your back feels better soon. And I hope you share the baby quilt with us, if you make it.
