Grant Funding Sources

When searching for grant money one of the first things you will notice is that mostly Non-profit organizations, Churches, Universities and City and County Government programs get the money. Individuals have a harder time getting grants. So I decided to compile this list of resources to help in this area.

  • Annual Register of Grant Support http://www.bowker.com/ has details of grant programs of government agencies, public and private foundations, community and special interest organizations in subject areas of academic and scientific research, project development, travel and exchange programs, equipment and construction grants, awards and prizes.
  • Directory of awards in fields of arts, business, communications, science and public affairs. http://www.gale.com/
  • Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance. List of federal programs that provide assistance to individuals in areas of agriculture, commerce, community development, consumer protection, arts and culture, education, employment, energy, environmental quality, nutrition, health, housing, social services, information sciences, law, natural resources, regional development, science and technology, and transportation. www.gsa.gov/fdac
  • The Individuals Guide to Grants. Guide to grant-seekers ways to find a sponsor, identifying and researching potential funders, writing and submitting proposals. http://www.plenum.com/
