Q What is the difference between a grant and a loan?

A You have to pay back a loan.  You don't have to pay back a grant.

 If you have been out of work for a while you may qualify for grants to go back to school or start your own business.  We often do not take advantage of government programs that can help us get on our way to a successful career.  If you are not working make sure you enquire about grants to upgrade your education or start your own business.  For example in Canada, if you are on EI or have been in the last three years and you are unemployed you may qualify for up to twenty five thousand dollars to take a course that makes you employable.  If you want to start your own business do a search online for government grants.  There are grants for aboriginals, young businesss people under thirty, people working in agriculture, and for those who want to start a ebusiness.  It can be a bit of work to qualify but it is worth it.  You could soon have a job or business doing what you love.

 If someone was willing to give you twenty five grand you wouldnt say no would you?  Well that is what is happening.  If you qualify you could have that much to go back to school with.
