It's a brand new thrilling water park for kids.
Also known as the "Black Beard's Beach", the facility includes
- Water playground equipment for children aged 5 and older
- A pool for children under 5 years
- The "Buccaneer River Ride" which is a a 600-foot lazy river ride.
- Resort type pool for adults with a beach entry.
- There are big brightly colored pool side umbrellas and lockers.
The $20 million park, took about three and a half years to build.
The park area also consists of
- A baseball complex with 4 fields
- A community center or recreational building
- Art room, Computer room.

$7 for city residents 14 and older
$10 for non-city residents 14 and older.

THE PARK IS BEAUTIFUL, THE LIFE GUARDS ARE SUPER NICE AND ATTENTIVE AND THE PRICE IS JUST RIGHT... MY FAMILY AND I HAD A BLAST THIS SUNDAY ( OUR FIRST VISIT ) JUST ONE SMALL PROBLEM... THE GIRLS IN THE CAFE WERE VERY RUDE AND NOT VERY HELPFULL (NO SMILES, NO THANK YOU )

IT A BABYS PARK TO MUCH RULES AND BAD AZZ FOOD
Me and my kids and sister went on 5/24/08 it was very nice but we could'nt find any seats and my sister stood in line for food about an hour. They need more food stands because you can't bring food into the park and once you leave you can not come back into the park.

Well i am so Xcited to go this weekend. Hopefully the weather will be nice. I love water parks and the price looks awsome! It will be me, my husband, our 3 kinds, my sister, her friend, and my father. Cant wait!
we went today and it was awsome but the weathar was good in the bigining and then every body had to get out the lines were to long to get peoples money back but it is a good family water park...but the staff has to be more friendly and stop talking to people like we are criminals
i enjoyed d waterpark the staff was helpful and being that alot of ghetto people do go there i can understand were d rules have to be strictly enforced they have had problems at the waterpark especially with alot of young people even the police had to be called the food did suck but you are at a waterpark so what can you expect even at rapids it sucks

MY FAMILY AND I WENT TODAY AND WE HAD A GREAT TIME. THE PRICE OF THE ENTRANCE IS REASONABLE AND SO WAS THE FOOD. MY KIDS HAD A GREAT TIME. THIS IS A GREAT WATER PARK FOR THE FAMILY.
My family and friends went to the park today and yes it was fun,BUT the staff are very rude and not helpfull at all. The food was discusting and the cafe staff were very unpleasent. It takes the right kind of person to work with the public and CLEARLY who ever staffed this park did not have a clue.
The lifegaurds were also very unfriendly, i never saw any of them smile at a child.
Hey all of you that had bad comments...yes sometimes we meet people with bad attitudes but have you sit and give it a thought. Maybe that person/s had a bad day or is going through problems like....gas is very expensive...dont u all have had a bad day and treated someone bad...like when your driving. Yes people are entitled to have a bad day but who gives them the fucking right to bring their problems from home to work. When they decided to go to work their issues should've been left where they started. Children are very sensitive and fragile the nicest thing isn't to be rude and disrepectful to a child, and a paying customer shouldn't have to come somewhere for fun,pay, and be treated like shit with a smile. Great customer service is so hard to come by and comming from Military it shoul really be enforced. I'll be paying you all a visit and dare to be disrespected, so expect to be treated the way you treat us.I'm a professional military woman but I respect those that respect me. So put your workers back through a cutomer service course, because if you all are getting the same complaints something really is wrong and it should be corrected before someone gets sereously hurt

The WaterPark was very pretty put their was food and soda in a place .and their was pupu out of the pool and in the beggoing when you enter the pool

Im a mother of 3 and what do u expext to get for $5 to get in, of course the food is cheap, quick and pre-cooked. As far as Ghetto its only $5-$7 to get in some inner city people, white, black and hispanic has never even been able to afford a waterpark. If you want a more upscale waterpark, spend some damn money and go to Rapids $32 to get in, Wet-n-wild or the new Aquatica $41 to get in. Then you'll see Great resturant type food, at a nice price. The most you pay for food here is $5. Stop putting the park down. Its designed to have somewhere to go quick for the kids and family to have fun. Not for a family getaway....
I agree with loving miami. And the kids or ADULTS that are posting comments.... Should grow up and stop using such fowl language. Kids come on this website too also to inquire about the water park. But yeah, its a quick and cheap place to go to just " GET OUT".

The parks is beautiful, but it has problems, first of all Manny Diez said the Opening Day that i was there and on the news that it was going to be Free every Wednesdays,well it was free for 2 Wednesday ONLY .he lied to us.second of all the foods stings and they DO NOT let you bring in your own food,and third of all if you want to go to the car to get something you have to pay to go back in. That is NOT RIGHT, they have to do something about all this cause pretty soon NO ONE is going to go in. i waited for this park to be don there since i was 12 and now iam not happy about it. 45 age now...Manny Diez please do something about this. thank you..
The food is NO GOOD, they don'nt let you bring your own food,my kids got sick of that nasty pizza that cost $20.00 ,you can not go to the car to get your own camera cause if you do you have to pay to go back in and thats not right.,and they lied,the News and Manny Diez saids it was going to be FREE ever Wednesday and it's not.How can this people be trusted again thats not right for ouw community.Something has to be done,i have not been back to the park every since.The staff in the entrance even treats you bad , they don'nt even let you bring the kids bottle of water.Something has to be done...

Hi i work at grapeland waterpark and people have left very rude comments about my co-workers and myself we always smile welcome you and try to give out best services. Well if you have any questions you can ask at anytime pretty soon we will be having a teen party for ages 13-17 well goodbye for now.

I went to the park with my two daughters,mother and sister with her family this weekend and we loved it.!!!! It is very inexpensive and in this economy that is great. The park is ment to give families something to do that wont wipe them out financially. My gosh, supposedly you go to be with family and friends not to chat with the staff so how much communication did all you have??? If you dont like the food, heres an idea, eat breakfast before you go, if you get thirsty, Im sure the soda taste the same, and eat lunch when you leave..... on your way home....... or deal with it stop ruining it for everyone else the park is great for the price....
I am happy with the park. The only problem is that many PARENTS do not supervise their children! It is not the responsibiltiy of the lifeguards or staff to do so. yes, there are lots of rules but they are intended to keep everyone safe. If parents will manage their children, the experience will be better for all.
It is a great opportunity to get out and have wholesome FAMILY fun. The prices are reasonable for what we are offered. The food is fine...snack like accomodations!
It is amazing how people expect 5 star amenities with such little investment! It is a DADE COUNTY PARK!!! not DISNEY!! Be thankful that we have somewhere to go and have fun! Instead of complaining, be a part of a solution. If you weren't happy with your visit, do not go back. It will help ensure that families like mine, can go and have a great time!
why ppl talk so bad about the park it will make ppl like me dont want to take my kids over there at all.Im a mother of 7 and to take your kids to places like that is scary,and plus you cant bring in no food at all ihave 3kids under 4so wat they supose to eat if we stay there over 3hrs its not right at all by the time i buy food for me my kids my husband there will be nomore $ and i hear the foods sucks and idont want be buyin food and my kids say its NASTY or THROW it away thats food going to wast and my $ going down the drain so please tell me wat to do????????????????????????????We need to know ifs is ok to take our kids over there.

I went last summer about four times and thought it was great! However, the last time we went - someone stole my son's crocs. I just bought them - they cost me $32. I can't believe how someone would steal a chld's shoes?!! AMAZING! Other than that - I didn't experience any rude people, I found the facility to be very clean, and the food - well - its the same everywhere you go...the Seaquarium, Metrozoo, Miami Childrens Museum. It is what it is. Eat before you go...down the road you have plenty of options - KFC, McD, BK, Pollo Tropical, Taco Bell. Anyways, we're plannign to go today. Its TOO HOT not to!! I'll be back to post how it went...

I am a young mother of three children in which my husband and I are considering going for our oldest daughters birthday (4), we are very anxious to take them and hope they will enjoy it!!! Hopefully we dont encounter anybody with a bad attitude I dont want my kids to have a bad experience.

I LOVE THAT WATER PARK. BECAUSE IT HAS SO MANY THINGS. I WENT THERE WITH MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY. AND EVEN MY MOM WENT AND SHE WAS PREGNANT!!€!!SHE HAD A BIG BELLY!!!! BUT I LOVED IT.

There is no excuse for being rude. Your job is only what you make it. Particularly when you are working with children you cannot be rude, otherwise you are unqualified. For you to post anything is unprofessional and the city of Miami should be aware of the fact that their staff is making them look bad. If you were doing a good job there would be no complaints on how rude the staff is and there are many. It cant be a mistake...Can it?
Further more to the people who post profane and off color messages; its tasteless and even though you may be complaining about the quality of people who frequent the park, you in turn are proving to be of just that quality.

The park is great specially for kids, it's fun and the lifeguards are friendly, the entrance price is ok but the food is expensive, I love to go and my kids love it too, they should lower the food price or allow people to bring their own.
