When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

For those who don't recognize the immortal words of Thomas Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence, I thought it an appropriate preamble to the following pictorial. Its clear to me, the United States has gotten so far away from the ideals on which we were founded, that the time to consider the big picture is here again.

For those of us who believe in personal responsibility, who believe that government is the problem, who believe illegals should be prosecuted and deported, who believe Congress no longer is representative of the people, who believe most attorneys are inherently dishonest and when they die will find themselves in hell, and who believe in the good old American value of free speech...this is for you.

I would start making apologies now for all the groups this series will offend...but there's not enough time...

Oh man have you hit the nail on the head in my househould. Good hub and quite true! I have had a job since I was 13, 38 years ago. I go to work every day, I am disabled, and no one pays my bills! Yet I look around and see generational apathy. Ugh Get a job!
