My ProAnagen shampoo experience

I’m sure you know of many products in the market that deals with hair loss. However, I thought to present my perspective and what I learned so far about hair loss causes, and what I was able to do about it and maybe—hopefully—it’ll work for you too.

However, before I start, I just wanted to say the best thing one can do is to search and also have the will to try and test new things to find out for yourself. So having the will power and wanting to solve your hair loss is much easier and also take chances. You may find it very rewarding.

What is known about Hair Causes

As far as the REAL causes of hair loss, what I know is it boils down to a hormone called DHT. What is DHT? DHT stands for Dihydro-testosterone. Basically the testosterone hormone that exists mostly in men (but it also exists in women but at a much lower ratio) is the main reason for hair loss. The testosterone hormone converts to another hormone; by the time it reaches the hair follicles in the scalp, which called DHT.

What Does DHT Do to Hair Follicles?

Basically, DHT starts weakening the hair in its roots. You don’t end up losing the hair you have right away, but instead the next time a new hair grows, it grows weaker and thinner, and then after third or fourth time it is basically gone. So it is a very tricky hormone and I think you have keep watching your hair not to get to a weakening position, which might be hard to reverse its damaging effect.

What Did I do to help my Hair Loss?

After lots of trial and testing of different shampoos, I came across a shampoo called ProAnagen Anti DHT Shampoo. One nice thing they had at that time (I mean over a year ago) was they were offering free shampoo sample to try, before you decide to buy anything. So I ordered a sample and just after a week I knew something nice and positive was happening to my hair. I know they don’t offer free samples anymore, and they charge around $2-$3 for them.

Later I ordered just one 8 Oz. bottle to keep trying it for another month. As time went by, I noticed I could hardly see any hair in my hands while shampooing in the bathtub. So since that time I’ve been hooked on it, and I think it’s worth the try.

Nice Things ProAnagen shampoo

* They offer small shampoo and conditioner samples for people to test.

* I think their regular 8 Oz. shampoo is somewhat pricey, but on the other hand, when I wash my hair with it and I can't find any hair in my hands that's "priceless" to me!

* The other thing I like is Proanagen doesn't have strong cleaning chemicals of Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate, which are said to be very harsh for hair follicles. What I've noticed is that many of the shampoo ingredients I read in stores have these two agents.

* I also found out that sodium chloride, which is basically a thickening agent for shampoo IS NOT in Proanagen shampoo! Now why most shampoos do have sodium chloride? I think because it is much cheaper than other ingredients to thicken a shampoo.
