The magnificent city of London has always been in the hearts of many tourists, because it has one of the richest histories to back its beautiful surroundings. London is home to many different attractions that will surely find its way to your photo albums. There are many landmarks that are truly of London, some of which are the famous Big Ben Clock and the London Bridge. To the disappointment of most tourists, access to the famed clock is not possible.

There are other London attractions that tourists may enjoy and some of these are even for free. An example of this is the Changing the Guard. This is a good show of British demonstration and ceremony as one member of the Queen’s guards exchanges with the previous guard. The guards are dressed for the ceremony and accompanying music is even played during the ceremony. This royal experience happens at the Buckingham Palace at 11am, but one must check beforehand because this spectacle does not happen everyday. Another free attraction that you can see while in London is the Ceremony of the Keys, which takes place in the Tower of London. In the ceremony of the keys, the Chief Yeoman Warder, in full costume, carries a candle, locks up the gate and gives the keys to the Resident Governor of the Tower.

A new and modern major attraction in London is the London Eye. The London Eye is the world’s highest observation wheel. It is like the Eiffel Tower of France, only difference is it is a dynamic observation tower which gives its passengers spectacular views of over 55 major landmarks of London in a span of 30 minutes.
