Great places to find freelance writing jobs

When I gave birth to my second son a few months ago, I immediately decided that I didn't want to rush back off to work and leave him at home. Unfortunately, my husband and I were used to having two incomes, so I couldn't stay home with my baby unless I could find a way to make a little cash.

The idea of freelance writing crossed my mind, and I began searching the web for paying markets and job listings. After days and days of clicking on tons of links that took me no where, I finally found a few good sources.

http://www.freelancewritinggigs.com/ This is a great resource for all of you aspiring writers out there. With tips and advice, there are new jobs listed daily on this site. I've found a couple of paying jobs here, and I visit this page daily.

http://writersweekly.com/ Here is a place to visit if you are looking for a list of paying markets. There are tons on this site, it's a very helpful place to get started.

http://freelancewriting.com/ This site offers categories such as, freelance writing jobs, writing contests, and writing events. I also browse around this site daily checking for updates. It's a nice place to get started.

http://jobs.freelanceswitch.com This is a great place for all kinds of aspiring freelancers. The classified section lists a few good job openings, and there are a few good resources here for freelancers like a rate calculator.

http://www.freelancebloggingjobs.com/ Finally, here is a place for bloggers. This site list jobs for bloggers all over the internet. I also like to check this page out every few days to find odd jobs.
