Dual Texture fabrics aren't just for uniforms

Most of the US service branchs have recently updated their uniforms with state of the art Dual Texture Camouflage patterns. These fabrics represent technology perfected from the 1970s. These new patterns provide advanced cover and concealment for the men and women who go into harms way. With the introduction of all the new uniforms, a few companies have created clothing and clothing accesories made from these military fabrics. I'll brag on two such companies here: SemperTie and Hero on My Arm.

SemperTie

I came across this uniqe product line doing a google search for Military Ties. SemperTie has taken the basic military fabrics (Marines, Army, and Airforce) and created a great novelty item that looks pretty good when matched up with the right color shirt. Their ties are made from authentic military fabrics (the MARPAT Tie wil not show up on infrared scopes!), and are all hand-made in the good ole US of A (no made in china here). I ordered the ACU pattern tie for my employers Military appreciation day, and I got a lot of complements! I have worn it for several other patriotic occasions too. I thought SemperTie's product line was so unique I conviced the webmaster to do a little link sharing. Now we shamelessly promote each other! :-) you can check them out at:

Hero On My Arm

A Texas based Army wife with a husband deployed to support Operation Iraqi Freedom decided to create a line of handbags to show support for our military and military families. Her HERO ON MY ARM handbags and purses were designed and created in 2004. Each is hand crafted from actual military uniforms. They make use of ACU, DCU, BDU fabrics and a whole lot more! Designed by a professional seamstress, these are one of a kind personal mementos for military spouses. her husband has since safely returned from his fourth tour in Iraq, and her business is going strong! You can check out her handbag line at:

Another reason I like both these companies is they are active supporters of the Wounded Warrior Project. Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is a non-profit organization that works to assist our wounded veterans and raise public awareness of our wounded heros! An all around great organization that I highly recommend.

know of any other great products made from Military fabrics, let me know
