It is amazing that the green egg has been inexistence from 1974; it has been grilling, smoking and even baking foods to perfection. But this does not mean you won’t have your own inventions on other cooking styles. You just have to follow some tips if you are a beginner to help iron out some difficulties but as you keep0 using it you also gain expertise on the way.

When you feel like slow cooking but you still want top retain the food’s flavor for the entire smoking period, first you require lump coal or charcoal then wet flavor wood chips. Repeat this procedure until the firebox is full to the brim. The arranged effect will enable the meat or other food stuff to repeatedly be filled with flavor during the rest of the cooking period. But even the best result will come as a result of varying the kind of wood pilling you are using for different beef. For instance; hickory wood pilings are best suited for cooking ribs, and maple woodchips smoke salmon quite well.

Do not forget that the ceramic walls give the ideal environment possible for long and slow cook or grill. The least desirable parts of meat can turn to mouth watering gourmet meal. The grill enables the meat cook in a controlled heat environment for a couple of hours and still produces the delicious taste ever.

To get your grill going just use a natural fire lighter/starter or an electric igniter .As soon as the heat arrives at a steady 250º Fahrenheit you can throw on your meat or other foodstuff. The heat won’t be straight in fact it will swirl in an indirect direction but remember this will even give your meat a flavor of its own, very distinct. One more advantage that brings out these green egg grills as unique items is the fact that you do not need to turn your food even in prolonged cooking periods especially when using the plate setter. Use your drip pan and include some apple juice or beer for extra flavor when cooking

You may wish to raise the heat of your Green Egg Grill to 750º F to tender your beef perfectly. Remember to use dampers to regulate heat and ensure the beef is cooked well.
